I kinda got attached to the characters, and really liked the story-line, but it depressed me to find out I died 11 years ago and my mom was so emotionally damaged she repressed it.. T_T
I've taken apart a 150lb copy machine with nothing but a pair of vice grips, a screwdriver, and needle-nose pliers, but I can't take apart a couple of colored blocks with my mind... I'm really slipping up..
It's like they just made an entire sea-shooter flash game, cut out the entire game and only stuck up the final boss fight after you've already gotten all the upgrades... And yet it's just as epic as if they had made an entire game around it.. Video game dynamics, you're doing it right..
This game reminds me a lot of meat-boy.. Which was by far, the game I had the most fun playing to get an impossible badge. Just for that, 4/5.. But 5/5 since the game is pretty fun and simple.
I really like how the upgrades are balanced.. One is usually geared towards survivability, and one is geared towards adding accessibility/challenge, you can basically CHOOSE the difficulty curve as you progress through the game.. That alone gets this a 5/5..
For some reason it doesn't give me either of the badges..
Also, I found out you don't even need to click directly on the protien to shoot to it, just click in the general area around it.. Makes for extra fast travel if your in a nice safe group of protiens.
Deserted streets and broken homes?.. Meh... Zombies?.. Sure, kinda scary.. Magically self-repairing walls?... Jesus christ, were in over our heads, now..
Askon's strategy works just fine up until around level 34, then it stops working COMPLETELY.. That is, unless you use LITTLE bombs.. Which sounds unlikely, but somehow actually works 10x better than using big bombs.. Try it yourself and see. :)
MMORPG's simply DO NOT NEED BADGES.. This should be an enforced rule on kongregate.. They don't need them, they're popular enough.. It's a cheap attempt to make badge hunters try out a game they will never actually get interested in..
Want a cool light show? Blank out the entire level, block-walls and all, then, use the fill tool and fill the level with anti-virus, now use the virus fill, and just randomly click everywhere fast.. It looks like crazy neon lightning.. Plus this comment if you like the idea.
At first I was like "Oh great, another nerdook game.", but this one actually turned out great, he's getting creative with game genres.. .. I'm starting to forget why I disliked his games in the past...
