I think the moral of the story here is.. If a school bus rushes past your stop, it isn't a school bus.. BUT CATCH IT ANYWAY, YOUNG HOPEFUL. ADVENTURE AWAITS AND PLENTY OF OLD PEOPLE!
The rate that I get items I can actually equip that improve my character is frighteningly low compared to the previous games.. It makes simply going to the 3rd level of the first campaign too difficult to enjoy the game... Everything else about the game is flawless, but I don't want to play it if I'm not having fun.. 3/5
I found a descent strategy for killing the dragon, you just have to make sure you have over 500G and wait until you get a gold ticket, don't risk buying anything you don't need except armor to heal you, and once you have the ticket, just spend like crazy but keep at least 300-400 set back in case another shows up, and if you don't get a ticket by at least day 6, you should probably restart.
I really like this game.. If I wasn't such a good tactician this would be near-impossible to beat. Games like this are like brain-food, they make you think on your feet and practice quick-thinking.
*Gets to the very last part of the game* OOooooohhh, this is why everyone hates the game.. Difficulty spike + realy hard to get resources = rating back down to 3/5.
I don't really see the problem with lack of money to spend things on... What with the dungeons, the looting, the keeping your men nicely equipped, I see every ingredient for an awesome game right here, what's the problem, again?.. I would rate it 4/5, but I'm gonna rate it 5/5 since all the top comments are just people whining.
If I had to give a compliment to this game, I guess it would have to be the music; how EVERY level sounds like you're about to fight an epic boss. (But you're not)
Am I the only one who thinks the characters from this game seriously look like they belong in a nickelodian series? The music, the animation, all of it, it's just too catchy, I really wish I could see them in some sort've animated series.
