Way too many relationship/changing every level/tells a sappy story with text platformers out there. I mean come on, I saw her standing there just came out. And there have been countless others before.2/5
The game literally doubles in difficulty at the last boss, and the ax is the only way to beat him, because it makes you do like 20 times more damage, which is extremely stupid. The rest of the game is really fun though.
Most of the time, Nerdook's games are overrated. But because of the high rate at which he makes games, every once in a while comes a game with a great idea that really works out. This is one of those games.
This game has a halfway decent level generator, a halfway decent stealth mechanic, and a halfway decent platform combat mechanic. You tried to squeeze too many elements into one it too short of a time, which is a common problem of nerdook's. 3/5, which is pretty generous seeing how the game ultimately doesn't function correctly given it's objectives.
The setting reminds me a lot of sonny, and the gameplay is kind of like biogems, but with that barrier twist. However, I agree with everyone else, the grid is too small. If there's a sequel, the attack system should be revamped or taken out entirely.
