Last guy was too hard. I absolutely crushed everything else, except for that one guy. I hate it when difficulty spikes like that, and there's nothing else I can do except grind? I have max armor/weapon/rings, and am level 33. I shouldn't have this much trouble with this guy.
When will match games learn to stop it with the 'given' combos? i.e. All three new items from the top were the same type, combo for you. You didn't earn it, you didn't 'puzzle' your way to get that combo, but the game decided to give you one just because. I hate that.
I liked it. It was exactly like Balloon in a Wasteland, but it was still fun and the design itself was original enough for me to not really care that the idea was a ripoff.
Seriously. It's a Facebook game. Why would you make a game where you -can't- play whenever you want? It's stupid. They probably make money off of it somehow. Eff this.
Other than that, just having beaten the game, I can say I enjoyed it. The afterbattle quotes, the crazy ridiculous usefulness of dexterity, the picture of the guy with the cards was pretty cool too. It was a little short, though.
Fun little thingy. Spent an hour or so on it till I won on easy mode. The perks are good, very fallout-ish; wish there were more for the shooters, though. Just got the one. Still, though, decent game from one of my favorite developers. Yay Nerdook!
After having tried using the scimitar, why is its fourth attack a simple swing? It's got more damage, sure, but so does the sword's diving attack, and that hits way more people all at once. I assumed that since the sword's attack was similar to its active skill, the same would be true for the scimitar, whose skill is several rapid hits, which would make sense if you wanted it to be the speed weapon. But no, it's just a whack. I don't really care to play through Chapter 1 yet again to find out and possibly be disappointed by the axe's attack. I think I'm done with this game.
I think the game has potential, but it's far too difficult. There aren't enough quests, and I'm never really sure to go, so I just go where my current quest says to, but the enemies are too powerful, so I have to go and grind out donk wolves or whatever. Each level up makes you too powerful; what destroys you in two hits at level 7 will be fodder at level 9, it's ridiculous. Make leveling up faster, and have the power progress not as radical from level to level to even it out.
And what does the hit combo do? It keeps track of it, so it must do something, right? Or not? I don't know.
S'good! Decent roguelike-ish gameplay. Played it a while ago, died at like level 70 and ragequit; recently played again, got all the way through. Good job, sir. I'd certainly enjoy a sequel with some improvements; the only magic I ever bothered using was the heal spells. I never really worried about agility, because it didn't seem to ever go up high enough to matter. It seemed like the better strategy for defense was a good offense; kill something in one hit and it doesn't damage you, you end up losing less health than if you'd killed it in two or three hits and taken less damage per hit.
But it's good. Moar please.
Just finished it in its entirety. Paid off all the debt, did all the cheeves, beat all the levels, even the last one with the guys who had 1500 health. All because I had a spellbook weapon that did like 115 damage per hit, and those elemental attacks that clear out the screen while doing damage.
Good game. Could've been better; why can't I sell the freaking longsword? It'd be preferable to have some kind of calender on hand to know when certain special "People will buy this shit" days come up. The loot system could've been a little clearer; I just kept doing treasure combos till I hit 100, then killed the guy. I got all of the stuff that way. But it'd be nice for there to be grades of the 'random' equipment you can get afterward, to know that this level gives equally good stuff as that other level after they're cleared.
... overall it was pretty good. Minor flaws here and there, needed some polishing, but I got really into it. 4/5.
I love this game! Laser chickens, woo!
I wish I could see the 'special ending', though. I've already played through on normal, I don't feel like doing it again on hard >_<
I don't like the game simply because the hit detection is fuzzy. A bunch of monsters walk over a trap, and if they're bunched together, they don't all get hit. What the crap is that? That's buggy programming.
Turn up the speed, chrissakes.
Also I don't see a reason why anyone would use melee when a simple bat is completely unaffected by the most powerful paladin. Ranged and magic have a huge advantage there, and melee doesn't offer anything they don't; in fact, ranged and magic -also- have a gigantic range compared to the 1 that melee gets.
So there's no type of enemy they can't hit, -and- they can hit them from further away. I repeat - why would anyone want to use melee?
