And in this, the Great Candy War, ninjas AND pirates set their differences aside to overcome the alien hordes and protect the sweet treasures. (2 of each, easily made it to the last level.)
I can't say that I disagree with all the comments about the upgrade system because they're right about it (and the stamina vs. timer arguement)...but did anyone else feel that the character vaguely resembles Scott Pilgrim?
If you wanted to replay the previous levels, you have to click the current challenge first, that needs to be changed to ease confusion for the "easy go-ers". Also, with just the 3 levels, I don't see how the "hard-core" gamers would want to keep playing, there should probably be one or two more (difficulties of "extreme" and/or "nightmare" with 25-30 waves, respectively)
As already mentioned, there is a lot of influence from "Pandemic"; that said, i love the 2012 doomsday play going on. I do have one problem though, the UI in the upgrades menu is very buggy. I have tried several different purchases and only gotten the ones i wanted a few times; for example, I wanted to storm the shipyards but ended up purchasing the borders upgrade.
As Exodor has said, everything is too expensive. The price you pay for some of the first upgrades in this game are the same prices for similar items at approximately level 2-3 (on the low end) for other games. Beyond that, not a bad game but the prices are a real turn-off that make me not want to play again, despite the relative ease to earn money.
In short, this is bad. The characters are always jumping on their own, there is no skills list we can view... both of those I can overlook, but really? The game doesn't end if you run out of health? I went clear to the end of stage 1, lost all my health while facing an army and the boss and still was able to beat it... that's just ridiculous. If those got fixed and maybe a few other features added this could be a pretty decent game. But, until then, I give it a 1 out of 5.
unoriginal and no forethought. that is all i can say about this. there's no start screen, no in-game instructions... i could go on for hours like this. and seriously, even invaders has multiple waves and levels, heck you even have a "death" limit of 3 lives. in all honesty, this "game" doesn't deserve to be here with only the one wave. if i could give this a 0/5, i would; but since i have to rate, it gets a 1.
Everything that has been said so far has been spot on...except, instead of either a speed up option or pause when clicking off screen, do both. The troop movement is rather slow (minus any buffs) and for those who may be chatting with friends (or telling off the trolls), it would be nice to have both speed control and the pause.
cut the uploader some slack guys. yes, they didn't type the description in english. yes this has probably been stolen several times. BUT, s/he is chinese and most likely doesn't know any english. i know this because his/her username is also their QQ number (QQ=chinese version of a twitter-like service).
GLITCH: If you walk off screen to the left on the second screen; you "fall" under it and are then able to walk past the treasure but are also unable to complete the level/game.
Also, this feels rushed like there was no thought put into it beyond getting the status of "Developer". I don't mean to be negative at all, but the game is simple and requires nothing more than common sense.
