Should anybody end up looking for voodoo island, beware that the info the ghost captain gives is false. It's not located south of barbados, it's located north of tortuga. You can find treasure island south of barbados though, but i haven't yet arrived at the point in the game where i need to go there. ^^
I've been exploring the map, in case some of you are looking for san luis, it's located to the east of tobago , first you'll encounter grand cayman, a bit farther to the east san luis.
Sticky keys are sticky, if I get hit it's 9 out of 10 times because the keys won't respond. This is a major issue. I quite like the premise and game play, but the sticky keys are a major deal breaker. A 4/5 turned into a 2/5. A game is supposed to be fun, not frustrating because the controls don't respond. By the time I notice that I'm not turning, it's already too late to avoid a hit.
the larger than normal maps are extremely annoying to solve, the same goes for the scrolling feature, it's extremely annoying to use, there is no undo function either, so if you happen to misclick the scroll function and drag, you can kiss your solution goodbye as it gets wiped clean, bigger does not always equal better, nor does it equal more difficult, just more annoying and more time consuming
boy do i ever hate it when i finish a game before the badges come out and then the game changes its save file so i have to play it again, sure the game was nice, but not THAT nice. :(
Nice game, or so it seems, I haven't even managed to get past the 1st level, it keeps crashing my computer... At least ATI has VPU recover, so I don't have to reboot all the time.
Well, I just found proof enough for myself that the computer players 'cheat'. No matter what car they drive in, they aren't nearly as badly affected by road bumps as normal players. Not only that, it seems that the computer players always 'win' in collisions. It doesn't matter if you have a truck and they a buggy or the other way around, when you collide, they get the 'good' path/direction/position/landing and you end up screwed. I can't 'prove' it of course, but in over 50 collisions they 'won' at least 90% of the time. Not definite 'proof' and not an objective test, but it's proof enough for me. So it seems to me that the rather 'dumb' driving AI has been supplemented with some benefits to make them competitive. That works well enough on 'easy' tracks, but on hard (aka bumpy and lots of jumps) tracks it makes them virtually undefeatable.
This game is actually pretty fun. A lot more fun than I would have expected. The constant wobbling of cars on the road is a bit hard to control though and the jumping system is totally screwed up. Other than that it's pretty nice. I got to the platinum series without problems, but the first platinum race is full of jumps and I cannot get the car under control even one quarter as good as the AI can. I cannot pass that lvl, not even after 10 tries, while just about every other race I finished in no more than 2 tries.
I liked the game at the start, but after a while it turns into nothing more than another pure grind game. Same strategy the entire time I've been playing, click attack, click attack, click attack, ... Next dungeon, same thing... A shame really, the level design is nice, but the gameplay experience after a couple of hours, is a bit lacking for me.
This game seems to only remember one top-score, the first one you got. if you play it again, there is no way to improve your score, no matter how many times you play. I played it 1 time, got a score, tried to improve it, no matter how many times I played it (completed it from lvl1 to lvl20 4 times now), the top score isn't altered, if play dumb, 'smart', fast, slow, it all doesn't matter, the first score is all it remembers. Kinda lame. I do like the rest of the game, but the top score is bugged.
Can anybody tell me what I'm supposed to do for the overcharged badge (fill the critter???). I completed the entire game, maxed everything, finished all challenges, but I've no idea what they want me to do here. Critter? What critter? And how do I fill it in the first place, nevermind the getting hit part.
