Knowing which items to use is part of the strategy. Personally, I never use spears and crossbows, they're too slow. I always try and keep the characters good all round, however increasing their strong stats (eg increase Strength for melee fighters). I try to enchant only purple and orange items, but only if they will actually be used. I try to boost each characters stats and select skills in a way that they complement each other.
Easy setup to win. Warrior, Cleric, Mage & Rogue. Warrior at front middle, Cleric and Rogue front flanks. Mage at the back. For the Mage learn Cosmic Prison. Try to have at least one character who can cause sufficient poison. If you can make the Mage have Quickness 50 or more. Or make the Rogue learn Cripple and use it. Or replace Rogue with Ranger and learn Swiftness. When the Corruptor becomes stunned, beat the crap out of it.
I think certain skills work together, eg:
Conjuror's Vortex can help Ranger's Pierce, Warrior's Cleave or Barbarian's Whirlwind.
Mage's Cosmic Prison (among others that stun, this is just an example) helps Rogue's Coup de Grace.
Utilizing these combinations is one way to succeed.
I'd like to see more legendary monsters. I fought a Gorgon once.
I love the Temporary becomes Permanent Altar. I'd like to see many elixirs from it.
Is there a way to remove an enchantment once its been used? I dont mean take it off and you get it again; I mean take it off and lose it.
You've done it again Garin. I'm hooked! Any sequels planned, or is this the end of the road for Monsters' Den?
This game is so cool. I love the new improved Den of Corruption.
I've found you get a Portal Scroll about once a level.
I just defeated the Gorgon (without any deaths) and got an UBER orange item. I'm guessing Orange is better than Purple. Maybe Orange is Legendary?
Also I found this Adventurer called Ernest. He died after like two battles.
Lovin' this game. You've wrecked my life Garin!!!
yeh i noticed that attechi...
what tempo do you use? if its something like 125, then put tempo to 255, and double the lengths of everything. double rests, double note length. This lets you, in effect, get eighth notes.
Great game! Brilliant choice for the card. I use undead and M Halberdier charges. And when they only focus on two or three lines, then I spam spearmen, put in a swordie/halberdier or two.
How to solve bosses:
Lateral thinking (first one) hover over square. Right click, and move over button
Linear thinking (second) click and drag safe lid
Concrete thinking (last) put left tablet into left hand, right into right. click the gray space. hold down mouse until the boulders gone. move the fire tile, then the water, then the spot. click the gray space. move your mouse near the top, middle. if you look a bit you find the button and you won
ffs its not a portal copy.
in portal you fire portals to get to another place...
in shift you 'shift' the map to get to other places...
NOT THE SAME... about the same as an apple and an orange - both fruit, but NOT THE SAME...
