Standard mediocre adventure game with fetch quests and some logic that doesn't make sense. Clearly not made by gamers with no wasd support and a run option but no auto-run...
Well made a definitely an interesting concept. Would be nice if it was a little longer or you had some more complex challenges (every challenge was largely one trick). Also, when you died it sent you back to the start menu which was really annoying, just let me respawn at the map.
This is everything that's wrong with a shooter game. Linear money and upgrades with exponential cost means you can't actually customize your build, it's just a grind until you're maxed out. There's also no skilled involved until you're at max upgrades. Then once you're there, you have to wait minutes until the game gets interesting. The combo is useless until you're at end game (try to get a meaningful combo in your first 15 minutes, it's impossible there are too few enemies). So in all, it sucks at the start because the game was tested at full upgrades. Then it sucks at full upgrades because every run requires several minutes of waiting around for until it gets interesting.
Puzzle game seems to lack actual puzzles. Every level takes 5-10 seconds to complete and requires little thought. Forcing the user to rotate with buttons instead of free rotation controls shows us the levels are only interesting because they hide the other side of the objects from us.
This is not a game. It doesn't even qualify as interactive fiction, all the potion selections are extremely obviously. Really you only make one decision the entire read through, which determines what ending you get. Looking to read a short story? Go for it. Has less interactivity than a choose your own adventure book...
I've really enjoyed this series, but this is the worst one by far. Many of the steps don't have any logical reason to them, requiring constantly asking for hints. Also, even though I knew what really happened, I had trouble getting the conclusions to line up so I could finish the game.
Wow, this game is just... not good. You compare it to hearthstone and magic, but the base mechanics here are actually more complicated (8 counters to keep track of for each person). However, the strategy here is really low. All the campaign battles are basically identical, and I couldn't tell the difference between easy and hard modes. Your decks don't automatically transfer to multiplayer, and it's not clear how to select a custom built deck there (you have to go into decks, then 'select' the deck, which is different from 'load' somehow, instead of just selecting a deck at game start like every other game). The 75 card minimum means that it's nearly impossible to cycle to certain cards some times, making battles less strategic and more random. Walls have higher efficiency than attack cards, meaning the best strategy is to build up to 100. The special attack / enhancement cards end up being a game of rock paper scissors, since they each have some other card that cancels them out.
Hey guys, great game but HUGE fail on your part: there's no way to review the rules of the game! Put in a separate screen that can remind us of the different rewards...
Decent idea but huge failure on implementation. You can't check your current stats so it's not clear how much the upgrades help. The upgrades don't tell you what level you need in each stat to unlock them. Bosses are trivially easy except that they're invincible 99% of the time. After the first boss or two it's just boring and a grind.
Sorry, but the artwork makes this "point and click" adventure into an exercise in pixel hunting. I can't tell what's going on in any of the screens, and the only way to move forward is to literally click on everything and see what you can interact with.
Overall a great concept, but once you get the totem that slows down the RNG everything becomes trivial. Additionally, hard mode is really not fun, there's no skill involved just grinding to higher levels so you don't get immediately killed by bosses.
This seems like a decent attempt at a puzzle game, but I feel like the levels are poorly designed. I feel like there are extra pieces for no reason that don't add anything to the puzzle.
I'm sorry you feel that way, I'll try to do better next time!
