Despite my previous statement that the sleep thing annoys me all to hell, it no longer does. It's pretty easy for me to beat the shadow now because I leveled all my skills to max and made sure to get Double Jump. Just jump and run around his attacks (Dash helps, but isn't necessary and is a pain to get) until she gets to a high Magic attack level. This will cause her to blanket the area in meteors with every Magic attack, and about 70% of the time will hit herself. Dodge this by either running/jumping away, or hiding under the little outcroppings on the bottom. Your biggest problem at this point will be the lightning bolts that start hitting the stage when the shadow is at low health. C&P to keep it alive.
I like the game. 4/5. That said, all of the enemies are totally useless because their only purpose is to ruin your day. It makes me want to punch babies when I reach floor 25 finally and then and enemy pops out of nowhere and knocks me right off-screen. Because they come from above, the "Can't Touch This" and "Enemy Death" powerups are nigh useless. The "Hold It" one is decent, but I rarely find a situation where I need it. So for me, the only powerup absolutely worth having is "Get Over Here." Also, @random29: The "A Winner Isn't You" thing is as far as I know a reference to tvtropes.org.
Stepped on the plate with no alarm going but a guard near it (not looking in my direction) and the alarm triggered the same second I hit the plate. I died approximately .00000005 seconds later wanting to murder the creator of this game. **** this game.
While the gameplay is fun, the overabundance of items actually daunts me. I have to take into consideration my unused inventory as well as all of my party's equipped items after every battle. Also, something about it bores me. Don't know why, I'm just sayin'.
