Unlike the one of the top posts, I was glad the numbers greyed out the way they did only when you were right. I NEVER would have finished those puzzles, otherwise. Fun game. :) I liked the 'surprise' ending. :P
5/5 I enjoy the pacing of the game, the style, the strategy, and the element of luck (I had the other team score on my team four times in a row before my team got to touch the ball one game, and I was putting all my energy into getting the ball!). My only complaint is that the save game doesn't work across computers. I'd love to be playing it right now, but I don't feel like starting over right now. :P
Needs a meaningful ignore function that stops spammers from requesting you to group with them a thousand times, making the game unplayable. I don't want to group with someone that damn annoying.
1/5 Lack of a tutorial for basic functions, inability to ask people in game on world chat since it's cut off until level 20, no in-game 'help' function, tiny inventory considering the number of items thrown at you, severely overpriced game items, and don't even get me started on the terrible toons... terrible.
I'm going to echo the "tedious" messages, but add one alarming bug. I spent 500 on the viking hat, just for the hell of it... and I couldn't do phase 2 of the climbing training because the horn on the viking hat stuck out of the 'safe' hole and pulled my duck out into the avalanche. 2/5, and only playing it to get the achievements...
The reason I said it's a Warcraft rip off is the races, not the game play. Yeah, it's like Kingdom Rush, but the orcs say "For the Horde!" there are even TAUREN, which are only seen in Warcraft as far as I have ever seen. The little word bubbles over the toons as they run around are mostly lines from Warcraft. There is almost no originality in the game, it has a clumsy control system, and has nothing in common with the original Necronator (which I really, really enjoyed).
Better hope Blizzard doesn't find this game and sue the crap out of you for ripping off Warcraft so badly. The movement of troops is annoying, but other than that it seems okay. Cleared all the 'shields' for all difficulties in the first area of the human campaign without too much trouble. 3/5
5/5 I finished it. Whew. It was intense, challenging, and totally addicting. I don't even think I'll attempt the Impossible badge. That one's going to be brutal. I tried the first challenge and thought I had it down, but took one turn too long, with the tech running straight for the end zone right from the start. Not sure how to get there for a gold badge without the doc's speed up nanos. Amazingly good game. I love the combat, and the ability to do the missions over again using different strategies. That last mission was seriously great in terms of needing solid tactical placement of your men. Can't wait for the sequel!
I was having fun right up until I hit the first quest in an area with other players... you seriously have a 5 minute wait for a dish to be reusable? I've been sitting up on that roof for 10 minutes waiting to get lucky and click a spawn before someone else. Terrible. If that's an indication of what this MMO is like, it's not worth my time playing, nevermind paying for it!
Downgrading from 3/5 to 2/5. Those glider wings make the game unplayable, compared to the distance I was getting before. Gun is less effective, because you don't dip down to maximize speed boost. Spring boots are useless because the glider doesn't cut out until 100 altitude. With no way to unequip or sell the useless glider, I'm done with this game. Hint: Upgrades should upgrade your playing experience, not make the game suck.
Overall, it's pretty good. Resources seem really slow to come in, and the fact that you 'lose' your troops after winning a battle slows things down a lot, and seems sort of weird. I launched everything I had to make a mission easier, and then had nothing in reserves when the battle was over. Also there seems to be a fair bit of stuff that requires gold to buy, but not even a trickle of free gold that I've seen. 4/5 because of weird disappearing/deserting troops, and the gold issue.
ty for your rating Toxo, there is half of units for free and half of units golded for player who want to invest. What I can tell you is that we wanted to make the game playable from start to end for free, and it is the case.
Concerning units we are planning to make them "survive" as I said to tails.
Hope it will reassure you.
2/5 Too easy. There is nothing actually random about the heroes. There are no differences. Money comes easy, and gear is cheap. Bosses were pathetic. Overall not impressed.
got a weird wall of text and crash when beating level 39... ah, it was because I skipped level 27, because I wanted to come back to it later when I had a chance to think about it. Might want to add in some code where if you skip a level, it tells you that, rather than crashing at the end.
I'm on a fast computer, and a fast connection, and the game is taking forever to load. Reading the other comments about bugs, long wait times on buildings, and poor writing, and I'm just not interested in waiting for it to load.
