The game's pretty easy. As is the norm with this type of game, use all XP on getting the most money, first. Run around outside of arena shooting in. Rinse, repeat. Final boss was way too easy. I saw that big cannon thing on his arm and he never even used it. Just punched the ground (really? Cuz I've got a shotgun-bazooka, and I'm never going to melee him!).
The Auto feature is pretty stupid, eh? The AI is awful. "I'M HALF DEAD! I'M GOING TO CHARGE AHEAD AND TRIGGER EVERYONE WHILE MY ALLIES STAY BEHIND AND FIGHT THE GUYS I RAN PAST! WEEEE! OMG! I'M DEAD! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!? PARTY WIPE! LOL"
Welp, 1/5 because I can't play the game. It "lost connectivity" and the point where it brought me back was after when I could equip my knight with the iron sword, but he didn't have it equipped, and as is typical for the "I'll hold your hand through the tutorial and not let you do anything you're not supposed to" style of gameplay that's so obnoxious, I can't go back and equip it. So I don't have the power to kill the enemies, and can't get through the stupid tutorial levels. Too bad. It looked like it might have been an interesting concept after the tutorial.
Strangely addicting, despite the grind-y nature of the game. Despite having really old equipment on my ship because I can't afford to upgrade anything very often, the game hasn't really been challenging.
Played it up to level 15 for the badges. That'll be it. I feel like this game has been rehashed ... ohhh... 5 too many times. Same heroes. Same units. Same side-scrolling not-really-epic army (armies with < 30 units can't be called epic). I give this a meh, and was glad it didn't take too long to get the badges.
Well, it was a fun game. I've gotten to the point now where I'd have to grind hundreds of idols to make it through any of the objectives, and I just don't have that in me. But the concept is great.
You know, I hated Rifts enough as it was before this latest patch... having it freeze up around level 19 of 20. But now you guys have REALLY outdone yourselves! SO MANY MORE BUGS! Not getting points to buy ships, spending points for ships and they don't appear, ships attacking their own, my ships helping out the enemy by attacking the pylons, and STILL FREEZING! Do you guys not WANT us doing Rifts EVER? Is that the plan? How the hell did all that go wrong??? I've loved this game, but this is too much. I'm done.
I noticed something while doing the 80 minute timed run that seems highly unfair... when you tab over to another screen, the timer continues going, but the enemies don't. I saw a goal to kill X monsters, figured I didn't have to watch that screen so close, flipped over, went to the bathroom, and when I came back I'd missed a couple minutes, and had gotten nowhere. That's really, really irritating.
I was really enjoying this game, but the glitchy Rifts overshadows the enjoyment of the rest of it. When you get to round 19 in a Rift and it crashes, it's so, so frustrating, and it's happened every time lately.
Wow, just trying to get up to 150 feels awful. I've resigned myself to only leveling up the Washed Up Hermit, because no one else's DPS matters in comparison, when I have Artaxes and Khouri behind him. Of my 204o DPS, he does 202o. Leveling up anyone else either adds nothing, or maybe 1 point every now and then. But getting the money to continue to increase the hermit's level 25 times is taking a long time, and he seems to get less out of it in terms of progressing through the game levels. So painfully slow... I look at all the other options you can unlock and the 300 one makes me want to break my computer just at the thought of it. :P
Hi Toxo1, If you're not into resetting frequently for Idols, then yes, the objectives will take some time to complete. Most players have a strategy of resetting when they hit 15 to 20 Idols, and only complete the objective when they think they have enough to do it smoother.
played and played for days, had 1.5 genes saved up. Ascended. Rounded down to 1. 1 Gene only increased wood production by 0.5%. Rage flipped my computer desk. 2/5
