The closest theoretical point Earth and Mars can be is when Earth is at its aphelion (or most distant point in its orbit), and Mars is at its closest. At this point, the two planets are separated by only 54.6 million km.
This is theoretical though, and would take millions of years to get the perfect point where the planets lined up. The closest point in recent memory was back in 2003, when Earth and Mars were separated by only 55 million km.
The furthest theoretical point is when Earth and Mars are on opposite sides of the Sun, and both at their furthest point from the Sun. At this point, the two planets can be 401 million km.
the worst of this style of game I have ever played, the $50 warriors only kill exactly two of the $20 swordsmen, The enemy has no windmill yet we have still been in a standoff mid-field for ten minutes when I finally decided this game blows. Plus the whole fun of this genre is creating your own strategy, not following pre-conceived methods of attack. 1/5
Nerdook, thanks for bringing kong gaming to the next level, from the computer saying my name and any dirty little quote I want it to (for scaring humans), to letting e make a horde of zombies do some of my dirty work. Quit your job and make us games full time!
barely started playing but I found that the easiest way to make money (not as fun) is go passive, hack all the terminals, the click a light repeatedly at $48 bucks a click (when x10) it adds up quick I don't think there is a bonus for saved cycles. At first I was making 200-300 bucks a round, then 1500-2500.
place your user-tower on the far right, third grid box up from bottom, in-line with the longest straight section of the path, as there is no limit to your shots this makes an easy way to pick off those creeps, add one or two of the cheapest towers, upgrade each and your user-tower, then save for homing, after that whatever you want. Also, don't buy too many of the last, they are all synchronized to each other and fire on the same target, making for overkill with no added benefit after about 4 or five
a couple small changes, user tower: be able to hold down the fire button rather than click for every shot as I don't have perfect timing to the ROF so I have to click it like crazy to make sure I get every shot off. Maybe more than one life, frustrating to really start getting far and then have one stray little creep end it all. Sometimes when I click a tower selection (from the buy menu) it won't tell me the initial stats, so I have to buy one (which I don't know its price) then place it to see the cost and other stats. Other than that 4/5, but i am partial to TD games
upgrade your money per coin and energy renewal rate right away, aim low (almost parallel to the ground) save your grenades for when you hit a polar bear and use your rocket fuel to skip from cannon to cannon, at each cannon wait patiently for your energy/fuel to max and continue skipping forward like this, it got me 200,000 feet and a decent amount of cash (about 45,000)
The rocket fuel should just autofill at the upgrade screen, instead I open a new tab and watch something on hulu for 5 mins, same with when I land in a cannon, gotta wait for five minutes for no reason. I appreciate the attempt at a new dimension (the matching game) everytime you beat your previous record, but the rewards are so puny, I would just let time run out to get back to the launching. Ok, now that I'm done being critical, good job at a launch game. Generally holiday themed games seem to be done half-a**ed but yours shows some real depth. And for the people that get on here and bitch about launch games in general, take your self loathing transference and unload it at the therapist mom and dad pay 60 bucks and hour for. They are willing to here your whining, those of us that like the redundancy of endless turtle tossing clones wish you would go away. If you don't like launch games don't play them, and definitely don't comment on them.
First of all, you should need more than 2 towers to beat the entire level, secondly, the 'next wave' button seems arbitrary as to when I can use it, sometimes with 4 seconds left, sometimes with 6, and sometimes at 15, please make it so I can hit it whenever I like. Lastly the time per wave is funny, I get 30 seconds for the fast moving cars and 20 seconds for the slower moving foot soldiers...2/5 for now
Also wanted to say that there were a lot of little things that made it abundantly clear much time and energy was put into this game, the sound getting louder or quieter based on the size of the room, the tilting of the screen ever so slightly in certain rooms based on your perspective (I'm assuming it is meant to be the convexity of the camera lens), nice finishing touches 4/5
Beautiful game, but I swear I am stuck, around camera 18 and 20, I can jump, duck, shoot and dash have gone through all the spaces I can get to and can't find anything new, is it possible to fall down the huge hole too early? Maybe I missed something, but I am sadly disappointed that cannot finish the game...great music too...
Kinda think you're a totaljerkface for just putting up the demo, Kong isn't for free add space, it's for games...preferably whole games, ok I'll get off my soapbox now
