May I point out, for those of you who are criticizing BotD choice, that Kongregate has been running through the badges for their latest quest (My Big Fat Quest) as BotDs.
Fun to play, and I don't typically enjoy games of this type very much. Definitely a 5/5, although I agree with other posters that a trichromatic color scheme would be helpful.
Fun Fact: The directions in order of strength are up, right, down left, i.e.: If you press the up key, you will go up, no matter what. If you press left, right and down, you will go right. If you press left and down, you will go down. You will only go left if you press left. How much of a geek am I that I bothered to figure this out. I guess my strongest key is my geek-key. :P
@pacaricabaubau: check your map. Follow it, despite those things called "walls." (Note: this is more frequent in the third game, so check your map often.)
I swear, this is one of the. best. games. ever. (I'd call it my second-favorite, ANYWHERE, losing only to MARDEK RPG (all caps on name = b/c that's how it's spelled)... and despite how much I LOVE MARDEK RPG that's a VERY close call.) Congratulations on making a great game. 5/5, favorited, and liked.
@WESTERNLEGEN: But yeah, you do have a legitimate point, if hyperbolic: overall, I, like you, do tend to build up an excess of energy, as it isn't used in upgrading several things.
The tower wasn't nearly as hard as it was made out to be. I'd call the badge a difficult medium badge, but as-is it is a quite easy hard badge. Fun game, although I agree that the screen transitions is irritating. Tip for the last level: you can leave and re-enter the pillar of elevation to stop yourself. When you hit the switch for the A, fall back down & go up the pillar you began on; also, in the same frame, use this tactic to avoid the saw covering the pit - fall out of and reenter the pillar until the saw is in an ideal location.
