5/5 - Happy with this game. Enough challenge in score for the more musical people, but non-discriminatory gameplay (and badgage) against those of use who are not musically (rhythmically, most importantly for this game) talented, including yours truly :P
But if it could simulate the suffering of life to the most minute detail, than was it not creating life to suffer? As it is a simulation of a human mind, and so is just as "human" as one in our own universe, so too would be all other minds that it itself creates, whether temporary or not... And if so, then was it not creating suffering of life, which is generally considered to be immoral? And if so, it it wrong for humans to do the same - to simulate life suffering, which would be, in our case, imagining such things? Is it wrong for humans to imagine suffering?
Lack of priority targeting on missiles = very annoying. 4/5; with this would be 5/5 (also, I am annoyed that I just lost a level b/c my missile launchers wouldn't fire at all, even when there were 6-ish motherships within their range).
Needs a way to create a new default ship design, or delete old designs. I keep making the "Ship" pattern when I want to make my standard pattern, because I was forced to make this by the tutorial, and I keep making inferior ships by accident. This one thing messes up my game sufficiently that I can honestly say that I am annoyed enough that, if not fixed, I may ragequit. Please fix this irritating issue so that I can continue to play this otherwise fine game.
@deathkknight: The girl is also looking towards the tombstone, and never turns around, demonstrating how the girl can only look forwards. (Perhaps? This really isn't my thing...)
1/5 b/c lag. Honestly, I'm usually OK with lag, but this just makes it too bad to play. It's not even (from my POV) a particularly good game besides, but the lag absolutely ruins it. WORSE THAN THE CHEETOS.
On the topic of the camera, leaving the mouse alone seems to work for almost all situations, just adjust it when you need to... I (a righty) used the arrow keys, shift & space and it worked well; I only adjusted the mouse when I needed to. Otherwise, this was I preview that I would rate 5/5 as a game - as a mere preview? Many more stars out of 5. Great game, and I can't wait to see the final product.
And by "stages" I mean "from the laser to the mirror to the mirror to the receiver and then the electricity gets transferred" etc. I would prefer to be able to see it work faster. That comment was unclear.
I used to play Evony, before I got bored of it, but this is much better than that. I think that I'm going to enjoy this game, at least for a time. 5/5, as of what I've played at the moment.
You can delete old designs by going to the rebuild tab of the design dialog.
