Oh, for those having trouble with stage 3 of the Labyrinth (Gregor the cockroach), if you're a biological then the best tactic is to start by stunning him, then use Agile Exposure followed by Predator Form. For the 4 turns in Predator, use Agile exposure and then Destroy, and repeat. If he still isn't dead, use Destroy again upon coming out of Predator Form.
Yeah, like roboloco said, all you do is basically take his focus down with Disrupt and then he'll use a skill where he gets it back, but takes about 5000 damage for 3 turns. However, he doesn't do it as often below 30000 hp, though he is afflicted sometimes with a condition called "holy scars," where your attacks deal much more damage to him. Not as useful as his self-life drain, but yeah. Okay, now you know how to beat him.
Nice game. Though it's possible to see enemies' attacks coming, your reflexes still have to be pretty sharp to block 'em. An average storyline, fair graphics, unique characters (well, Onward and Dante being the exceptions), nice gameplay, fun yet sometimes infuriating minigames, and 80 points to be earned here. 5/5.
Intuitive game. Brand new style of thought and a nice challenging boss.
The only thing I found irritating was having to beat the game three times just to unlock the wine levels. Beating the boss in normal mode should be a hard badge in itself, with completing the bonus levels as a hard or impossible endurance badge. But overall, excellent and addictive game. If you don't like it, you're probably not very good.
You're welcome Illuminous...^_^ But for people that weren't satisfied with my PsychoGoldfish strategy or can't beat him with Dan, here's a reupdated strategy:
It's very hard to take all four of them on at once, so first, hit Goldfish enough to knock him down, then quickly whack a minion or two. Goldfish's...um....goldfish attack is fairly easy to dodge and takes up a bit of time, so use it to beat down on his minions.
Stamper & Jeff: No minions, but the best strategy is to GO FOR STAMPER FIRST. He's infinitely more dangerous on the ground than in the air, and he needs Jeff to inflate himself. Dodge Jeff's attacks while jumping and hitting Stamper: He will deflate and attack you after being hit a few times, but Jeff will help inflate himm before long. Repeat until Stamper dies for good and then finish Jeff.
Wadolf: Ugh. Just hit him straight off and don't give him a chance to "shoop-da-whoop." Once he summons his zombies, you can attack them, but it's better to just let Wadolf kill them with his own laser. If you see Wadolf glow blue, either hit him, or get the heck out of the way.
Using friendly fire is the way to go against most bosses.
Big Fuzzy Kitten: Let his own bombs take out his minions and then just slash the crap out of him.
PsychoGoldfish: No real strategy except to just kill the minions first, then focus on Goldfish. Not hard overall.
Mindchamber: Don't get too close because of his annoying moves, but his rockets can destroy his own minions and himself pretty quickly. If you're good you can just take him on in physical combat once he's wiped his own minions out, though.
For getting 80%: Once you hop on P-bot, go (for example) to the top right corner, then move down, a little to the left, back up, a little to the left, back down, etc. I got 95% using that method. Of course, if the other corners are closer, start at, say, bottom left corner, go up, little right, down, little right, etc.
