My biggest complaint is that this is again pay-to-win. You are stuck with 100s packs unless you spend real money. If you spend a little bit, you at least get to avoid commons. If you spend gems, you are guaranteed of rare cards. What ever happened to Kongregate games actually being free?
One of the worst games I've ever tried playing. Horses too stupid to step over a low obstacle (which they will happily do in real life). Small low hanging branches that are somehow lethal. A main "hero" who can't change actions or do two things at once (eg hit a wrong key or try hitting another too soon and nothing happens).
A single enemy gets inside the defend zone and it is instant failure but you have to kill all of the enemies before it counts for you?!?! WTF?!?! Drops a star off the rating right there.
Fun game until level 10 when it instantly gets stupidly difficult due to the computer cheating. If I do the exact same strategy the computer uses at the exact same speed, the computer ends up with more guys and always wins.
This had the potential to be a really good game but the implementation is majorly lacking. No way to skip animations. No way to earn much gold if you get stuck. Becomes a major grind long before the end of the game.
The one thing that would make this game much better is being informed when jobs go away. Today, I had two very lucrative jobs vanish while I was working on mining the mats to drop off and no way of knowing that until I went to drop them off. Also, why are jobs not viewable while in space (at least the state of them last time you were in-station)?
Pirate officer difficulty jumps an *insane* amount between sector 2 and 3. In 2, it's (iirc) a blazer with 2-3 misc escorts. In 3, it's a 330hp ship with 6-8 escorts with missiles.
The interface is pretty good. One thing that would make it much better is to allow filtering jobs. Some I'd like to see: local only, filter by type (asteroid, cargo, kill), filter by $ (or at least order by $).
The shooting part of the game is pretty good (though the physics of the movement patterns don't always make sense). However, the survivor mechanic *SUCKS* - it is *FAR* too easy to have all survivors killed and then the game is over because you can't search and have no way of getting more survivors.
Cute. I played almost all the way through (gold on first 13 levels and 14th won) then Shockwave crashed and my save is gone. Very poor save game management apparently.
Well, until the second boss, I thought this game was fun. There is absolutely nothing that I see to indicate when Shinobi Master has up magic reflect (he seems to take the damage but then bounces it back amplified). Then he dies and bounces the damage and I lose? WTF?!?! He died first. This game is a solid base but needs some serious improvements to make it really fun and playable.
Still a good game but I find myself liking this less than other Kingdom Rushes for one simple reason - the random elements (sand worm, carnivorous plants that kill 1 enemy or an entire squad of friendlies, etc). This is supposed to be a strategy game and, to me, the randomness of things like that kill the strategy.
The unit AI is *AWFUL*. Given tactical control of my units, I could easily defeat far more enemies. Restricting custom AI settings to level 9+ is ludicrous.
