I like the game, but I really can't have fun with the extreme amount of hacking going on. I'm just looking for a way to report them all and get them out of there.
Darkmouth, it's lag. Just because it hits on YOUR screen doesn't mean it hits on their screen. Take it from a beta tester/pro, you need to learn to anticipate where your enemy WILL BE, not where they necessarily ARE, in order to score hits with weapons like the railgun.
skultech, the enemy may be firing continuously because their weaponry is fairly weak OR very efficient, thus consumes extremely low quantities of energy. Plus enemies only attack within 1k range anyway, just stay out of range and pound them with ballistics.
Just keep killing them and get your experience up. I personally find loading out a Dragon with high efficiency/damage ballistic weapons to be the fastest killing methodology. It's just a matter of how long it takes to grind your way to the top. Unfortunately grinding in this game DOES get a little slow. Perhaps more later game type of events?
I'm still making my way through the game, but perhaps when you get an assassination/escort, you can read the target's details before accepting? Or at least one critical one such as EU/Hull/Speed in addition to the ship type?
At the people downrating it because Ben 'didn't protect the game' well enough - This game started out as a hobby, Ben likely did not have the experience or feel the need to make it totally secure against hackers. Only just recently has Ben taken Flash programming as his real career, so any games he makes nowadays should be built to better fight off the would-be hackers. Downrating this game for security reasons would be kind of like dropping an A paper to a C or D just because you realize that parts of it are copied from a book, before the writer knew what plagiarism is. Sucky metaphor I know but I hope it gets the point across.
Is there a mouseover for any of the evolution stuff? What am I purchasing? That would help the game. I personally love strategy, turn based or no, but that thing there just kinda kills it a bit, 4/5 though.
Game developers draw inspiration from plenty of sources, but just because a game is quite similar to another one does not necessarily mean that it was 'stolen'. The general premise of the game is quite simple, compared to say, an RPG with a complex story and system. Simple games will always resemble other games in some context, it is rare to find a totally unique game...
IIRC Fungijl the AI sucks in general, but if it were any good it would get kinda difficult to score at all >.> anyway, I never had much problem with the opposition during beta testing, as far as I know, AI hasn't changed much. Your formation moves forward when you have the ball, retreats when you don't have it. Upgrades do work properly, but training only affects a couple players and equipment can take a couple upgrades for noticeable effect.
At Gldwing - A few months back all accounts that hadn't been used for 3 months and were under I think 1601 kills were erased. Some 90,000 accounts were deleted in that. Yours was likely one of them.
