Amazing improvement over the first, which was great as it was. I love the customizability of types of shapes, movement, et cetera. And the new rainbow shape with purple is just awesome.
That last one was annoyingly long... 1943 kills on that one alone. 1550some for the first set total, 2307 for the second set. Not even going to try survival today, I don't have the patience >.> still a 5/5 game, but I'm not able to grind like that.

I'm human but new players be aliens so I can kill you please ;D - Both sides are fairly balanced in my opinion, the weaponset just caters to somewhat different strategies.
Not anyone else's fault you can't run or learn how to stay away from the strong ruthless type. You could have simply waiting in the sector before respawning and hope they go away eventually.
For those who don't read... as far as I've seen, you need to allow the game to have as much memory as it needs to save and to reduce lag. EVERYONE loses saved data whenever this gets updated, and it's on 1.06c right now, looks like the main thing was scoring changes.
Aliens have a larger selection of weapons if I remember rightly, but that does not make them better. Humans have a wider selection of utilities, but again, this does not make them better. The sides are equal in strength BUT they cater to somewhat different strategies...
People lose saved data whenever a new version is uploaded. As for the motherships, I group in a semi-nice formation the following structures - 3 lvl 3 solar stations, 2 lvl 2 energy centers (each energy center has 2 level 2 pulsers, and a level 3 THEL with a lvl 2 THEL attached.) Each solar station has one lvl 3 missile launcher attached, and then I have 2 or 3 lvl 1 repair stations in the middle of them all.
Personally I don't think the shield upgrade is really necessary. Was able to beat it without upgrading shield once. Engine did need a couple upgrades and cannon was maxed lol. 29008 I believe was my score that game.
For 20 minute survival, I don't know how much you paid attention in the tutorial or how many times you've played the final mission, but the attacks are scripted to the same directions roughly and the same numbers. From the tutorial - it's better to have a few highly upgraded things than many low leveled ones. What helped me win was keeping lots of solar stations in play and having max leveled weapons. The main thing that kept me alive - repair stations, enough to cover every laser turret and missile turret I had.
At first I had no problem with the autosave, now I have lost all my progress. I'm curious as to why since nothing was actually changed on my settings. Still 5/5 in my book regardless, very enjoyable.
