Well, now I understand the feud between X and O. I thought it was a simple game, but no, the Xs murdered O's friends and now he is on a quest for revenge!
This game makes no sense. I consider myself a fairly smart guy, but this one stumped me. I apparently don't do well with pure luck-based games. Match colors and symbols? I can do that. Have an array of colors and symbols that rarely match on both sets? Now I'm confused. Which holds more weight? Colors, or symbols? Why do I get a rainbow hodge-podge with every draw? Why do I only have four to choose from, even when using bonus tools and draw takes one away each time while being no help? How moons, stars, and globes stop a dragon's fire, much less tame it? Why does time trial give only marginally more points than relaxed? Why does this seem like a Neopets game?
Still a fun game after all these years, though the memory leak has never been fixed even after countless weekly maintenances. It's a little aggravating to have to close the browser, wait 5 seconds, and then wait for it to load again before running 3-4 missions. Even though I bought the Deathmobile upgrade years back, it still is a lot of waiting for load times. Also, for those having trouble loading into the game thru Firefox, like stuck at loading assets or something... I reset my Firefox via the tools menu. That fixed it. You might try it if you can't log in.
Johanna, you said " I get that they aren't for everyone, but these are hardly ever BOTD" - I beg to differ. They've been badge of the day three times a year for four years. While you and your friend might like these games, the fact of the matter is they're terrible and most people don't enjoy the mechanics. It's not the idea of the game, the idea is fantastic. It's the execution. Everything about these games.. well, this one game that's reskinned about six times, is rage-inducing to a lot of people. I got these badges back in 2015. All of them. Because they were BOTD and after the first one, I didn't want sit through this again later so I got them all. The only one that I did enjoy was Jacksmith, and that's because the formula ever so slightly changed. Jacksmith, or Papa's Smitheria to some, is somewhat enjoyable because the knights are just happy to get anything from you, and there's no timer to their waiting.
It's frustrating when devs go awol. I get that they're all about the mobile release, but there would have been no mobile release without the browser version first. There are some serious bugs that need fixing, most notably the having to reload the browser from scratch just to play a second map... and the new "doesn't work in chrome anymore" bug. I'd play on Edge, but that crashes the flash player every three minutes.
Of all Flipline's "-aria" type games, this is actually the best and fun to play. It can get a little annoying from the middle towards the end when you need to make pretty much perfect stuff in order for the soldiers to complete their missions, and sometimes you just can't get enough material to build what you need, but you know what? It's actually pretty fun and challenging, and that's why I give it 4/5. It's a good game once you get the hang of it.
Ahh, 2013, back when we thought grinding was a good game mechanic because all the triple-A MMOs were doing it. Still, this was a fun game and I played it all the way through when I originally just intended to get the BotD. Not bad at all, definitely will keep this game in mind next time I'm bored.
So how do you switch rendering mode? Hardware is the only one that works for me. I don't like being stuck in software. It's not the flash player, I already have enable hardware acceleration selected. It's the game itself, under video options. It says "Rendering Mode Software". That doesn't work for me. It's sluggish and craptacular.
Well, this is new. "The game cannot been saved." This doesn't bode well for my party. I'm not sure if this is on my end or on the game's side. What must I do to be able to save my game again?
Yay Snake... except more Arkanoid. Still lags, still goes too fast at random, still 80% luck and 20% skill. This is unacceptable. Besides, wasn't there any other developers with key games or key in their title or even Bart Bonte's own games with different stuff but the focus is finding a key or button? Come on Kong, stop playing us like this. :(
While I appreciate the badge telling me what I have to do, I didn't realize I would be playing Arkanoid with eye-straining colors and lag. Level 13 is not fun and barely doable.
Wait a minute... in the intro it shows two people working. That would have been a huge help in the actual games where it's just one poor schmo taking on dozens of customers every day with increasingly ridiculous demands..
Week 4 since I started playing this: Okay, why do I keep coming back to this? I've played this practically every night since I that first day, usually 2-3 rounds per sitting. I barely lose anymore, yet this is still fresh and interesting to me. I don't get it, but I do like it, and I really want a sequel where you have more use for magic and tech. Maybe "Stop the Light" or something.
I guess the servers are down for good. I'm stuck in epilepsy mode of saving. Flash, flash, flash, flash... can't do anything. Sucks, because I liked this game and nostalgia brought me back.
The top comment by Dragox made me want to reply with: "Well, obviously we graduated from the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things!" I don't know if that joke existed back in 2012, though. Definitely set a precedent lol
First time playing this again in 3 years and nailed it on my first try. Just barely, one day left, and my last paladin clung to life like a madman until the dragon was dead. Oh man, but what fun this game always is!
