Woohoo! After 143 games, I finally managed to kill the entire world with my parasite; I love starting off in Madagascar!
Alas, the badge bug is still powerful here.
Well, after getting millions of Chinese stoned on Opium for ten years, and getting millions of Brits waterlogged with tons of tea, I ended up failing due to a sudden unmanagable rise in prices for both tea and opium simultaneously in my last year, preventing me from meeting Britain's obscene demand of 660. I had a brief window to load up, but alas, 30 crates at a time was too slow in comparison with the price hike. Still, it is a fun game. 5/5
That was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the variety and the excellent balance that exists between the species and their upgrades. I didn't feel compelled to follow just one strategy, but rather encouraged to try out several different creatures and combinations. 5/5
This was sort of fun, though I had a lot of trouble trying to get my guy to follow my commands. I was doing it for the badge and achievements, but alas, it was not inclined to record my progress. :(
This game is really fun and deserves a couple of badges. It made me think without being impossible to beat. There is a strategy to victory, but the fact that you can keep playing after you clear all the stages and go wail on the guys you had such a hard time with the first time around is definitely worth a 5/5
The mark of an absolutely excellent game: I start playing at noon and when I look up it's almost 8pm. Definitely waiting on the 3rd installment to come out! 5/5 <3
I guess I'm insane, but I don't see the cloned Cursed Treasure part people keep mentioning. I see a great game that I've enjoyed for three days now and have had a tremendous amount of fun with. Cursed Treasure lost my interest after about four hours when I realized that if I wanted to win, I'd have to play by the creator's favorite build rather than my own. (which was vastly different) This, I didn't have to worry about the build so much, and each time I had to restart a map, I didn't feel like luck was a necessary factor. Smart placement, timely upgrades... more like Protector but with guns, cowboys, and awesome. :) So far, Tecumseh is my favorite unit - he's rather well balanced being both support and good damage/speed. 5/5
A sequel to such awesomeness as this should be no hard sell at all. You truly know what you are doing and I keep finding myself coming back to this game. The mixture of excellent story and entertaining combat are an awesome combination that is so rarely seen in this day and age. Please, do make a sequel, even if my wishing so fervently does somehow revive Iblis!
I was doing awesome until I started being chased across the wasteland by a horde of ninjas and my backup got killed. I took out like 80 or 90 of the little buggers but then they flanked me and I was all like "It's been real, daddyo, but I ain't gonna give you the pleasure." So I jumped in the Sarlacc Pit myself and on the way down, I thought to myself, "Man, I shoulda left a little surprise for them - oh wait, I did, thermal detonator for their ass BABOOM!"
This game reminds me so strongly of Monster Rancher. I loved Monster Rancher, so the memories that came around were really good ones.
There are only two things I've found that need some working on. After you defeat the Little Giant Cup guy and he comes around to challenge you, the game stops working at the battle scene if you still have the window that comes up asking if you want to practice. Secondly, there are two Summer Cups but no Autumn Cups, making the trophy case incomplete and preventing achievement earning.
Anxious to see a sequel!
Good game, lots of fun, would be great to be able to sell your sniper rifle to pick up an assault rifle for the end in addition to the obligatory grenade launcher for your heavy marine. Also the "10 levels" badge isn't working even after I beat the bonus stage twice. When the sequel comes out I'm definitely playing! :)
I only thought I was happy with Rebuild 1. Rebuild 2 has given me a four and a half hour long joygasm. Most excellent improvement over the original! Now, if I could just cure zombieism....
So let me come to an understanding here - there's no selling of one's loot, but you are expected to buy items with cash from the pawn king? Or does someone buy your junk later on and thus give you more cash to pay the pawn king?
Also, I would like to revive my companion whom is lying on the ground with his hand held out towards me pleadingly. If there is something that can be coded in that lets you revive them, that would be super awesome!
It's a good game and a definite change from the usual defense concept. Not really my cup of tea as I lost interest due to the reptetiveness of the combats and no speed up command during them to help me get to the really good parts (not counting the SKIP, which did help a little). The difficulty in selecting my units was mitigated by the ability to select them all at once with one button, which made things a little easier once I figured that out. The units themselves were well done and seemed balanced, complimenting one another in battle, which shows remarkable foresight and planning. The spells are well done as well - I enjoyed the Ray most.
It was awesome to not be locked with my skillpoints. I could change them around and that is a very, VERY good idea. Overall, I give the game a 4/5. A speed-up button would bump that up to a full five so that frenzied folks like me can watch the fur fly. :)
Played through two more times today and got the badges. While playing I noticed a bug where I was getting billed twice after the end of the two week period. First would be normal, the second would come after every quest I completed. It happened in the first game after I won the League but was building up my strength before taking on the king. The second time it didn't happen despite my doing the same thing. It appears to be a bug based on when the quest is popped up or accepted, rather than how late in the time period you complete it. Perhaps an errant loop count somewhere?
Awesome game. Really sucks you in and makes you enjoy yourself! Thanks for making it and definitely hope there will be a sequel or variation. (like futuristic or zombies for example)
