Man, again, seriously. The difficulty level is so massively elevated. I loved the first one so much, but I can't beat level 1 on normal now. Lichs are so ridiculously overpowered. Massive damage AND stuns your entire party? What the hell?
Did this get massively more difficult? I blew through 70+ levels on hardcore on the original, but I can't even come close to beating the level 1 boss here!
God DAMN. Seriously. I keep losing due with most of my guns intact... even with scads of bunkers, that one massive wave keeps coming on hard that just tears apart my population... from over 1B down to 0 almost instantly. How can you possibly defend against that?
Fun. Easy was easy. Medium was still pretty easy. Hard is very hard! I just can't seem to keep my population up. Every time I manage to do one thing, it's at the expense of everything else. I guess I can't figure out this "easy strategy" everyone else is talking about.
Even using the "tips" posted from the author about one full page below this led to almost total death on wave 2. Few people will return again and again to a game that is this swifty cruel.
After several tries, I have to agree with the concensus. This doesn't feel very strategic/tactical... this is a game of guessing exactly what towers will work when and where. I'm guessing there is virutally no variation allowed on what towers and upgrades to choose to get bast the first wave of centipedes.
I cannot beat Orthshire to save my life. Everything else was pretty easy, but that last territory is just impossible. When their basic unit is formed as quick as anything I have but can take out 5-6 of my best troops by itself... I just can't fathom how to do this.
So let me get this straight... one loss and my xp is reset to zero? What a fantastically stupid idea. That's so anti-player and anti-fun it's ridiculous. Not worth another moment.
Some of you folks are very, very incorrect. This game is a re-skin of Desktop Tower Defense. It uses the exact same source code - against the original author's wishes. It is quite stolen, and there is a long history behind this story that you should be able to easily find with just a few moments searching on google.
