I would like to see some visual representation of unit level and gen. vs. spec. I would also like a guide to what each symbol means. Fire and poison, I get it. But some monsters are strong against... pillows? Are any of my guys using pillows?Otherwise the overall layout is smooth and intuitive. Simple but very fun. 5/5
Strange that this game seems to be an update of another one, but that said... I like it quite a bit. The skill system is unique and truly adds depth to the gameplay. Levels scale nicely and provide a good challenge. They must be played multiple time to "learn" the waves, go back, and plan ahead.
A beautiful, elegant game ruined by lack of a saving ability or information that the mission is lost. There is no way to know when you have stepped off the path and the game is now unwinnable, and nothing to do but start alllllll over again. Ensures that nobody will ever actually figure it all out - eventually, pissed off and frustrated, a walkthrough will have to be used. Terrible terrible terrible adventure game design.
I despise these types of games. I was just born too late to appreciate any type of game that requires twitching. I can't seem to control a single thing my little guy does. All he does is fall off cliffs and die.
Sure enough, I did just beat level 10. And I have no idea why. This big circle just popped up and started slaughtering all of the globes for me. Thanks, I guess.
I can't make heads or tails of this. I love the idea of a clickless game, but I don't understand anything of what's going on. Why does my gun vanish on level 10? How can anybody beat level 10 with only sporadic bursts of useless fire? I read other comments talking about various weapons and features, and I don't see any of it. Levels end and I don't know why. Circles burst and I don't know why. I win, I lose, I see no relationship between what I do and what happens. I got the card though - wheee. I don't know why people love a game so much that has so little feedback or sense. I'll try to beat level 10 a few more times (and by try, I mean do what I've done for every level, just sit there) and then just walk away.
Twelve minutes in, and I have a glass of water, part of a key, and five coins. I'm sure there's some individual pixel someplace I haven't clicked on, but otherwise there just doesn't seem to be diddly to do.
Pretty much the anti-me game. Can't figure out any real realtionship between the controls and what happens on screen. Shots just explode randomly, hit nothing, or shake so badly no aiming is possible. No strategy - just twitch, twitch, twitch. I won't give it a numerical score because that wouldn't be fair. Shrug. Why do people like these kinds of games?
Very very fun gameplay, but the item loss aspect on normal pretty much makes it impossible to beat the moment your party dies the first time. Extremely frustrating and utterly fun-killing. Why would you want to punish the player that severely? Would be 5/5 without that penalty, with that penalty, I will never play again.
I suppose the timing element will be appealing to some, but by the time I even look around and read the desriptions, I'm dead. Why is that fun? Grabbing clothes did nothing, either. The game looks beautiful but it's just not fun to play an adventure game with such a short fuse.
Terrible, terrible controls. Can't seem to select the unit I want, can't de-select, clicking "wait" ends turn, can't see the field due to opaque tiles, poor instructions, little idea what units/powers do, too difficult to find information onscreen, no advantage to terrain (and in fact, disadvantage to high terrain), no advantage to rear strike despite advice otherwise, repeated unexplained inability to attack... Unintuitive and too aggravating to play for very long.
