There are way too many words that are actual words that the game is not accepting. I mean, it accepted "french" but then wouldn't take "italian." That makes no sense.
@fhhuber: do it on the third boss (stage 24). Lots of airplanes, which means lots of paratroopahs, which means highest combo if you kill them all. just make sure you have Rump Roast before you try it.
"These tasks must be individually completed in the same game, but you do not need to complete all of them in the same game." Is it just me, or is that phrasing both contradictory and confusing? Perhaps they mean completed in the same game, but don't need to do all on the same map/level?
Maybe it's just me, but I feel you should be able to target/destroy the bombs the blimps are dropping. Seems only reasonable. I mean, if Missile Command can do it...
Hmm, looks like another BotD that I won't be getting. Just don't really like games with this style of play. I'll maybe fool around with it for a little, but it's only 5 points, so no big loss if I don't get it.
Possibly useful tip for anyone stuck trying to get the Hard badge: if you have a gamepad, use a good joy-to-key program and set a button to auto-fire the left mouse button. Then all you have to do is hold down that button and aim the mouse where you want to go. Should help you out-distance most rival neurons as long as you don't get bottle-necked. I'd recommend at least trying it normally first before doing this, since once I finally got frustrated and did this I easily got to 122k.
You have some serious balancing issues to deal with. First, the numerous comments about enemies using magic with no MP. Second, bosses get both immunity and the ability to seemingly use a Special whenever they feel like it (like the first turn of the battle). I have now tried to beat the fourth boss three times and am finding it rather impossible seeing as how I'm either asleep or stunned for most of the battle. Just about ready to quit and forget this game ever existed.
I'd be much more impressed with the game if it didn't continually accrue memory usage. It quadrupled my memory usage from when I started to when I stopped. I find that to be bad programming, but that's just me. And no, you don't have to buy the game to get the badge, just refresh (won't have to sit and reload the game thankfully) and you'll get the badge.
So triangles are loathe to be near other triangles? That seems to be the only reason why they seem to be so damn hard to place in a square formation without constantly clicking and moving them around til they finally place. Made some stages harder than they should have been.
It seems that if you corner some monsters and give them nowhere to move it freezes up the game. I cornered the last of the ranged attack monsters on the third level and when it got to the enemy turn the game froze.
Would be nice if swinging a melee weapon didn't cause the durability to go down even if you don't hit anything. This place must have some REALLY heavy air.
So there is no way to change quality to Low? If you enter the settings screen, change it to Low, then go back, the setting returns to High. Music and sound save on/off setting, but quality doesn't. That's pretty crappy.
And of course, immediately after I make that comment, I beat the stage with both stars. Not sure how the walkthrough goes for Elevator, but first time I tried this method it worked: Cut off a small corner of the left block so that it starts tipping to the right. Just a little before the smiley lands on the platform, cut off about 1/3 of the right block. Wait until the smiley is about 1/3 the way across the platform and cut the joint for the left block. That should launch you up to the left corner and get both stars. If it doesn't work, just fiddle around with the timing and amount you cut off. Hope this helps.
