I was just about to post this comment when I saw Boneless had already mentioned the issue. The decision to make you lose even if the ball you fire below the bottom line would have caused an explosion is arguably justified. But a fireball that is about to barrel through the bottom level ball? Come on, now.
Very easy, but loads of fun and a great ending. 4 stars. The ability to call in favors is a step up from the last game, although there could have been more of them.
The cursor thing stinks, but with this difficulty level, even the wildest mouse-swinger should have no trouble beating the game. Oh no, 6 of your 9 balls were lost when your paddle stuck? Good thing you can return the last 3 with your expanded sticky bat trail. 2.5 stars, rounded to 3 because I'm a nice guy.
Played the first ten levels... cute but not much else, just like cotton candy when you have a toothache, only less tantalizing. 3 stars, but it seemed like it was getting a little harder, so I may update my rating if I come back to this.
Fun, though a little bit easy. Level 49 was clever, but it was the only one that took more than half a dozen attempts to beat. Still, Max is cute and I like blowing up TV's, so this definitely merits a 4/5. :)
Oh, man. My saved data was wiped some time back, so I decided to get as far as I could without upgrading my bike at all, and only using the characters I unlocked by accident (Robotjam, Cycle King, Crouching Badger, Sir Colin, Farty Pants, Dragon Bracket, and Ron). I've managed to beat every non-special level (no chases or moon) except for Volcania 4: Down Down. I'm always a couple second short even when I have plenty of boost. Hm...
To those who lost their save file: I thought this happened to me, but I went back to the menu and hit play game again, and I had my data back. Worth a try?
SonickAce, try playing as Sir Colin. Don't move forward, just jump and do a flip (front or back, doesn't matter). Keep doing this until you reach level 1 boost, after which I believe you can do double flips. Do this until you reach level 5 and you should still be able to overtake the others and not get in last place (I came in 1st... Sir Colin is the best there is :P)
Masterfox11, I'd say farty pants and sir colin are both far better than cycle king, they're both decent at wheelies and ridiculously good at flips. The Wheel is also a good all-rounder. Mr. C, Trikeceratops, and Spoke are all rivals in the wheelie department, too.
Moon level: 1st place with farty pants, trikeceratops, pepe velocipede, and sir colin. 2nd with the wheel, robotjam, sir walter raleigh, and cycle king. 3rd with crouching badger, letter f, dragon bracket, spoke, and billy boneshaker. 4th with the bowler brothers, ron, campy the man bear, the man with no brakes, phoenix the penguin, and mr c. 5th with presta the clown. . . . I play this game too much. :)
Thank you Cryzer. What would we do without the insightful "first" to kick off the discussion?
Discussion being, the idea's identical to the other stupid assassin games, the 'accept' button requires you to click the outline of the box, there's apparently no way to fail, the graphics are ugly, and there's not a single redeeming quality that brings it above a 1/5. Man, I'm bitter when I stay up to late. >.>
