i have never found a more frustrating game ever, its impossible to place a gear even when your doing it exactly right theres a good chance they wont stay in, pitty as the concept is good and the music is cool
1/5 till the controls actually work tho

Nice concept and good graphics but the gameplay is rather dull due to the relative "shallow" puzzle level designs. Having more than just gear pieces might add variation to the puzzle and spice up the levels with various obstacles and objectives.

i got to level twenty, its a good concept, entertaing for a while, you need to spruce it up a bit by adding some more things to make it better and more entertaining because its a bit boring at the moment 3/5

Nothing much to say here except poor programing with the alignment algorithm. I have some gears that can definately fit but do not for some reason. Also, it's very boring, sorry to say.

So far as I can tell, it costs money when you "pop" a gear. Other than that, nice game. Maybe in the future add some near gear parts that can be purchased...or something along those lines. Also, a few more lvls would be nice.

It's a nice start, hope the creator fixes it up. Cannot delete cogs, if one falls behind the button for a new one, you can't pick it back up, and the "sliding shield" is a poor concept that doesn't affect difficulty or create challenge, but instead just adds annoyance and frustration.

got a bug in the reading tutorial, you said put a small gear by pressing this button when it should've been put a medium gear by pressing this button. good game by the way, gets boring after a while so 3/5.

got a small, med, and large gear one one level, and theres only 2 gears so far, theres a plate aswell. nothing fits into the spot between the 2 gears shown and when u get negative money it keeps going down >.>

Kinda fun, great idea, but the icon-mapping needs some work. Gears frequently don't fit in areas they clearly can. Also needs more, and tougher, levels. 3/5, mainly for concept.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good attempt, but it's too buggy. I can place a gear and turn on the machine, it kicks it out, I pick up the same gear and place it in the same spot and it will work!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Holy crap, this is so finicky and stupid. A game doesn't need to be finicky to be complex. I'd rather play Bureau of Steam Engineering or something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
meh. its pretty fun at first but then.......... ARGGGG. to all those who think the gears dont fit verry well........ GET SOME GLASSES.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bananban; I forgot about those complaints too.. Make a sell or delete spot to get rid of a gear you accidentally bought. Also its very annoying when you buy a gear and the janky joining algorithm makes you drop the gear behind a slide - forcing you to buy another. Then on top of that the gears can fall behind the little purchase areas of each of the gear types and can't be clicked on again.

Not the first person to suggest this, but the controls need some work. Subtracting money because a gear apparently wasn't quite aligned even though it *looks* fine is very frustrating. Rework the manner in which you place gears including some indication that gears are actually interlocked and I'll give it another try.

Disappointing. I really like machine and tinkering games too :(
For people wondering how the scoring works - it appears the 'complexity' is an arbitrary number set for each level. From there you subtract the cost of gears, subtract your time penalties (which are mysterious in and of themselves) and add the bonus gears.

i first agree with MandoloinBee. but also there needs to be a way to return gears when bought because sometimes you make a mistake and you can't get your money back without restarting the level. for now 3/5 (but with fixes, 5/5)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I give it 3/5 because it's a good concept unfortunately as many others have mentioned already. It's just to damn difficult to line up the gears.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love the idea. I want to like it. Problem is, logic gets in the way. The reason I can't connect my gears is because it -thinks- they're not interlocking? It's as if you try to solve it in some way other than "intended", it doesn't like it. Sometimes when the gears look just fine (good interlock), it will show up as red. Sometimes when I'm sure it should jam, that's apparently fine.
Make the fudge factor consistent, and I'll rerate. For now, 1/5

interesting idea, i really generally like this sort of game, but this got frustrating quickly. the gears often would not mesh with existing gears for no apparent reason. the scoring system is confusing at best. actually, it makes no sense at all. if i add up the white numbers and subtract the red, i don't get anywhere near the score. sometimes the time+penalties is a tiny number for a quickly and efficiently finished number, and sometimes its 200 or more for a similar finish on a different level. also, if you're getting money for points, you ought to be able to buy something. it's like an unspoken gaming rule. :-) i'd like to see version 2.

Cool puzzle concept but the controls really need some work. You should indicate when placing a gear will actually make a connection between other gears.

very bad game... so boring and repetitive...
the music didn't help either... and the controls are also very unfriendly
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's mediocre at best. The entire game is gauging distances by eye, and even then it's boring. The graphics are good, and the overall concept could've been better. I do like the Zeke-style character though. Past that, please rethink a little more.
