you know the biggest flaw of this game is?
not being able to give cover fire to a retreating squad. -_-
lie seriously the biggest advantage ranged weaponry gives is just that RANGE, the ability to converge on a single target, AND PROVIDECOVER FIRE!!!!
like I kinda f-ing need my 5 man squad that's slow as fck in the back to switch out with my broken 2 man "squad" who doesn't give two shits if I want them to go die off or not, but no... instead they have to retreat and literally give the enemy ground why? just because they are FORCED into "combat"....
if you do ever make a sequel to this game please for my sanity and any others make it so you can 1: choose a nearby squad to provide cover fire if the forced "combat" mechanic remains. 2: make it so you can choose to have the squad hold the ground to their death if the player so chooses.

if the zombies are close but have more than you.press "back" or "retreat"

hey daft, when zombies get to close, if your guys aren't ready for it and/or there are too many zombies they freak out and fall back. It basically simulates real people, cause real people aren't gonna be like: "hm, i will stand and and get face face eaten cause i was told to stand here." no, they gonna get the hell out of there, and i really like that, but i dont like how the zombies move forward. that pisses me off.

Strategy on how to beat the game: as soon as you enter combat click on the picture of your squad the infected get wiped in the battle

Great game, but has some issues. For example, I hate that when one of my units retreats, it will often place the zombies next to another one of my units where I am forced to fight a hopeless battle.

btw the situation about firing immediately is because the weapons are different read the instructions: Pistol = Close Range Weapon, Rifle = Balanced Weapon, Carbine = High Powered Weapon, RPG = Devastating Long Ranged Weapon

For some strange reason after contact when you click the person leading the squad's avatar the zombies disappear, which win you the battle.

RIP the soldiers of 1st assault rifles... 3 men and a jeep vs over 15 zombies... It was carnage... The best men I ever knew (*Sob*, *Sob*)

this is impossible otherwise great game just there is no chance of killing big zombie squads like i have 5 guys with RPG-s and tank with machine gun but they just fall back from the longest distance when engaged with zombies 1/5 if not that 4/5

It would be cool if there was a multiplayer mode and you control only 3 squads and so does everyone else and you do the missions in all together.

It took me a literal decade to beat this game. A decade. I could never get past the 6th mission "Advance"... and i just finished.

Gotta love how the squad leader can carve through entire hordes of zombies with his knife, but the other soldiers run into one zombie and are like "Oh noz am ded." Though my respect goes to those occasional soldiers that knife through two or three zombies and live to keep fighting.

A squad of men if being eaten alive by a zombie horde, and you expect them to just hold the line? The hell is wrong with you. Just tell to to walk backwards at the beginning of a fight.

i am stuck on level 6 tryed to beat it 14 times no luck by the time i am just bout to get heavy support vehicles the zombies are on top of me my men run like cowards ten misson failed

Honestly, at first I thought charging would just be a squad's suicide button. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was he most awesome option in the game.

A mediocre strategy game, but has a strangely compelling and tense atmosphere that makes you wanna keep playing. This is what made these old flash games great :)
