Finally got the impossible badge. "Twin Peaks" really is the hardest speedrun - tried probably over 50 times with only 3 or 4 of those where I made it past the first peak. After that I did the challenge on insane and the last three golden trophies I got where worms, fish and then birds, all earned by rerunning the easy challenge. Phew! Still one of my favourite games! Rediscovered after about 7 years through the BOTD.

Stupid stupid stupid! Level 5: Parasoralophus (i believe that's what it's called) running running running.. I'm way behind, I catch up to it, it's running into a little smoke stack thing, and then as soon as I get near it, it just runs at me and is pushing me backwards and no matter what I did I could. get. away! And the idiot got me swallowed up by the black evil smoke of DOOM. STUPID. And I got the Magma egg too! D:

after upgrading your dino a bunch, the hard badge is actually super-easy. really, all you hafta do is load up an easy challenge and try to do it on lvl 1 a few times. i got it on my fourth try. i put considerably less effort into the hard badge than the medium badge, or even the easy badge. i will admit that a doomsurf timer would be helpful, though. not sure why so few people have the badge. as for the game, i gave it 3/5. it's just so frustrating that i couldn't get myself to give it anything higher.

For all you people who dont understand how to get the easy badge, find 1 super egg. That is "saving" a dinosaur, and it will be submitted after you complete the game or die. If you complete the game, you get the medium badge. If you doom surf,or in other words be extremely close to the doom wall until you see a ! on the dino's head, for 30 seconds, you get the hard badge.

Additional advice/tips:
eggs-random. just try to gather them consistently throughout.
birds-as Iconian said, easy challenge level 4 helps a lot.
fish-easy challenge level 4 also has a pool with a bunch of fish right after the birds.
worms-i found no helpful tricks, really. I did happen to notice a SLIGHTLY above average amount on the map "uphill battle" on easy, though.
Dactyl chain-"Ptero Storm"
Boulder ride-In medium challenge level 4, there's a large gray boulder on a big hill... ride it, and if you don't get 10 seconds, just try again till you get it.
General advice: If you are doing poorly on the insane speedruns even w/ maxed stats, do the easy challenge repeatedly until you get enough extra DNA (500; enough for the strength boost), then revisit the speedruns later. Then you'll get closer to some of the milestones. THE STRENGTH BOOST IS HELPFUL. DON'T GIVE UP IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT.
I know twin peaks is annoying... perseverance is key.

If we my species goes extinct just because I died, that means that I was the only one of my species left and I would have gone extinct either way because I have no way to reproduce.

I was doom surfing for about 20 seconds, I was having a blast teasing death with my very long tail and running with my slightly distorted legs. I laughed in his face. He called up his good friend Karma. I was deterred by a single pebble as it hit me in my face, ending my Doom Surf Spree.
