核心玩法大致不變。你要開採礦物、木材或黃金，規劃基地，令工人忙個不停、軍隊準時出擊。「戰爭迷霧」隱藏敵方動態，斥候就是你的眼睛。「科技樹」解鎖更強兵種和新奇技能，獎勵長遠計劃與即時決定。
