So I'm doing well, I actually think I have a chance of winning, and then the enemy uses Sacrifice Builder, Sacrifice Recruit, Sacrifice Mage, and Curse, one right after the other. Hard mode gives an unfair advantage to the opponent, but thats how most strategy games work on harder difficulties: the enemy has more power, but you've got a brain, so you can beat him. This game, however, makes sure the battles are completely luck-based. Got a wall? The enemy uses a trojan horse. Got good resources? The enemy annihilates your builders, mages, and recruits. Needing the right strategy and a bit of luck is one thing; having to redo a level 30+ times because there is no possible strategy and it is all luck-based is something else entirely.

Greg, didn't you learn from the last Castle Wars? that get 5 wins in multiplayer one. You know, the one that was near impossible because everyone would quit when you were about to win?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The thing I don't understand, is why people would quit a game before it being done, you get 1 point if you lose. So it's a win/win situation either way.

If they made your opponent quitting in multiplayer a win, then it would be exploited WAAAAAY too easily. Make it so that the cpu takes over when someone quits.

Why are single player decks not compatible with multiplayer decks?
I find it extremely frustrating that I have to remake a deck just because I'm switching to multiplayer mode.

Great game. Strange getting use to the new look. I like most of the new variety of cards, the improved graphics, and the deck manager. A definite improvement. I truly enjoyed the game. 5/5.

Here's a few tips for the last enemy on hard: Remove all damage cards except for trojan horse, wain, ambush, and archer. Put all of those at 5 except archer, which can be 3 or 4. He'll have a huge wall after a few turns, so the direct damage cards will be pointless, but keep archer in to get rid of magic shields. Recruit, mage, and builder, aand all of the add material cards should be at 5. I'd advise having all remove material cards set at 0 since he usually has a huge stockpile anyways. Have 4 or 5 magic weapons cards in for obvious reasons. The rest of the stuff is up to you, though I'd advise not having too many building cards (despite the fact that I ended up winning by getting to 100 my first time, but that was because I hadn't set up my cards as much as I would've liked to.) Start by focusing on getting production up, using the add material cards to pay for production cards. Then try to use trojan horse with magic weapons on him, and finish him off with the other attack cards.

multiplayer wins was much easier than it was for the original game, i had less problems with people disconnecting this time

Does the idea of this game revolve around me resetting every game because the two first cards the computer throws happen to be the "Babylon"-card and the "Dragon"-card or some stupid shit like that?

I am here to start a petition. Click + if you want the game to count a win for you when your opponent quits the game.

Not as much fun as the last one... finished a campaign and just can't find the motivation to bother with the rest. Especially not multiplayer, with the rather brainless way an opponent can leave the game without you being awarded a win.

Wow!!!!!! The hard badge is a frickin JOKE. Amazing how the computer gets all the right cards at all the right times. I love the trojan horse and the sacrifice a builder to kill 2 builders cards. Other than that the game is alright!

That's stupid. Everyone losing leave the game before it's end so u can be getting Representin' the K Badge forever coz it doesn't count as win.

To beat the hard campaign you need nothing but luck...it's a pity..and i don't like the new interface...so... >>> 3/5

I would love to give this game a higher rating if not for two fatal flaws. Multiplayer, as many others have said, when an opponent quits, it NEEDS to count as a loss, or it is pointless to play. Or at very least, a win for the player who stuck it out. The cards 'kill x' are stupid and slow the game down unnecessarily. It just feels like a cheap tactic that the AI loves to use as often as possible. Drags matches out far too long and sucks the fun out. 2/5

Badges for this game are a joke. I have the hard badge complete, but it won't get awarded. And multiplayer badge is completely inane. When opponents can flat out disconnect to avoid a loss, the badge is that much more difficult.

I don't know why I keep seeing these "I can't win in multiplayer because everyone quits" comments when no one that I play against quits. I don't see that it's really that big of a deal.

Originally be Leer83: In the middle of the game, the AI decided to just stop playing, mimicking someone in a multiplayer match who refuses to give up when they know they're losing. Please fix this, and I will re-rate this game. Thanks!

wow. The comp was about to lose so he just decides to stop playing. Yeah I know that really isn't the case but this is ridiculous.

The other player quitting needs to grant a win for yourself!
Also the deck manager requires an info button to see the information for each card. Loved the upgrade, especially the graphics. 4/5 (could be 5 if these things would be fixed)

the hard mode i found certain area's that had high starting resources to be hardest.. the final battle was dissapointingly easy comparatively so.. with my deck setup at least..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The hard mode distantly reminds me of The Necronomicon. At times, the AI/you can one-shot the opponent so that the other gets basically no chance and vice versa. Some levels can be completed in a matter of turns with the right cards. Moreover, the sacrifice cards are a joke. Sometimes the enemy uses them although you had no more than one opposing labourer, shooting itself in the foot. A constant use of them also eventually makes you have to discard every other turn. Despite those flaws, the game was still pretty fun, and since multiplayer is its main focus, who cares really ;)

Beat hard campaign with a builders/bricks deck, featuring only walls and thiefs from green cards, and pixies and remove/add resources from blue cards.
