I think the fact that there are different enemies, obstacles, and the such in later zones is enough in the upgrade department. The main reason I find upgrades of some sort important is so that the game doesn't get stale. Some visual variation would be welcomed. Love the game, it's super fun!

I would mind limited double jumps a lot less if the play control were better. As is, it's way too easy to use them up accidentally.

Why do I get a bounty for simply walking? Am I in a no walking zone or something... Although that does explain why nobody is chasing you.

When you feel your combo dieing, get down to the road and throw a dagger, it's VERY likely, that you hit something, that saves your score.

In an age where the formula for most casual games is "grind, upgrade, repeat", you've crafted a game that's fun every time it's played. Fantastic mechanics, balancing, and design. Listen to the comments calling for improvements, or don't - just do what you think should be done, and I've no doubt you'll keep impressing in the future!

My loot is only 94% complete but I've completed everything in the "missions" tab and have platinum for distance and reward. It would be nice if there was an easy way to see what's left for me to get to 100%

I think this game is a bit underrated...
The developer took extreme attention to details: The scenario art is impressive, and some scenario interactions (such as birds flying away) really add up to the the game sensations. Also, things such as the appearence of armors and Soulies conditioned to their usefulness give the gameplay a clean aspect, and demonstrate great attention to detail from the dev! Besides, I felt the missions bring extra objectives that help endure the back-to-start sequences. Of course there are always things to improve (maybe some gameplay interfering rewards for missions to compensate partial effords while you advance towards the final objective, for example), but what game doesn't? All and all, I felt this was a game created with greate care and attention to details, and I was really impressed with the results!
4.5/5

Glad to see another game from Soulgame! I loved soul driver and was anxiously awaiting a sequel. Although this is not a a sequel it is pretty close in the spirit and style of the game. BRAVO!

Such strange city planning: "we should hang these perpetually swinging crates next to the inexplicable pit, I think it will draw a lot of garlic/apple merchants."

For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://assets.kongregate.com/gamez/0015/5791/live/game.swf?kongregate_game_version=1361187706 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

Really, SoulGame's graphics and attention to detail make 95% of the awesome in their games. Usually I find running games boring, but this is top-notch quality adrenaline.

To anyone who's beaten every mission in the main mode and is confused at why they don't have everything... The medals from the challenges count as loot, as well.
Anyway, this game is very well done. The challenge is there, so are the "upgrades", and no bloody "grind, buy stuff, grind better, buy more stuff" routine. I like that... this game gets five stars from me.

I've been playing all the games in this series over the past week and playing the original last is probably a bad idea, but I can see how much the game has evolved through each entry. Fantastic series, wish I could play more than just the games on Kongregate.

My only minor gripe is that you can play a lot of it from memory, but if you made it a random level generator, it creates drawbacks such as impossible to survive in situations, so I see why you did this. Other than that though, this is one of the best games kongregate's recieved in a while. GAME DEVELOPERS TAKE HEED, I think the reason for this is that there are no upgrades. Gameplay is based on skill, and designed accordingly. The game is very nicely polished, and the flow is great, which is what these running games strive for. An exceptional survival game. 5/5

To VagaryWhim, you can't use double jumps as much as you want, you have to collect them. The number of available double jumps is seen in the upper left corner (the wings in the rightmost square).

Perhaps on the customization page, the new unlocks can come with their own benefits (Ex. the 2nd unlocked avatar comes with 2 parachutes)

Im having the same problem as another user I think.... either skip or wait for the intro to pass and the game stops :/

After my first few tries I was begging for upgrades, but eventually I got the hang of it. Good game, and it's actually pretty cool how it makes you get better by practicing, not with upgrades.

100% loot! woo! That was tough to do, but not so tough its frustrating. The kind of difficult that makes things fun. Thanks for the great game.

This is a truly amazing game, 5/5 and favourited. The absence of upgrades doesn't matter because by the time you have all the loot you become such a pro that you don't need upgrades. Again, plain amazing fast paced running game.

I used to hate the 'wall trap' from zone 5 onwards until one day I saw the Dev pointing out to someone that you can press down and slide under the wall if you get stuck.
Is there perhaps any way through that horrible set of 4 swinging boxes that begins to appear in zone 6? I very rarely survive that one (although I have reached zone 12 with tower and parachute abuse).

Not to bad I like the game but having to start at the beginning always makes it boring after a while it is pretty hard to get to level 5 and start all over again

I think it would be better if we could see what score is needed to get the platinum medal. Otherwise, great game, very addictive, nice work :)
Thanks ! For challenges, the score for platinum medals is always 1800. For distance and rewards, it's written when you rollover the trophies, in the loot room.

How are people getting over 2k in the treasure hunt path? I can only make about 1.8k Would love to hear strategies =)

At least make it so that you can move backwards faster than those stupid arrows; some situations make taking a hit unavoidable simply because you move backwards at the same rate as them.

I only ever find myself using the double jumps. The other collectables just never get used except where the parachutes are needed. I forget about them.
Parachutes and Daggers are optional indeed ! But if you learn well how to use them, you can catch some impossible treasures or enemies, so it means more Combo and more Rewards.

@hydraling, wrong.. if you continue in zone 7 with 2 feathers it's game over. It's an unintentional bug caused by the new patch.

For some reason, whenever you throw a dagger into's a spartan's head, they ignore it then proceed to kill you. Definition of a spartan.
