This seems to have everything that the other games was missing. It is much more manageable for people who have poor multitasking skills, and it has more than the standard "Take order, make thing" formula the Papa's games had. The only thing that could make it better is if you controlled the soldiers in some turn based battles.
I love the game, however, I am not entirely sure that this game warrants a pre-order. It is a fantastic game, albeit rather short, but from this very small alpha version, it does not seem like a game that should be bought.
One thing I would like is when I completely destroy a city, I wouldn't mind seeing a little indicator over the city, like a skull and crossbones or something else. It just makes it a bit easier to tell which cities you have completed fully.
I have to say, this a near copy of Boss Slayer, except there seems to be a flimsy cover of bugs and plants. The upgrades are exactly the same, the bosses are pretty much the same in how they fire, even the modes, easy and normal (which has the same amount of days as Boss Slayer). It's fine when a game "inspires" someone to make a game similar to it, but when two games are so similar, such as these, whoever made the original game deserves mentioning somewhere in the description.
With the multitude of possible badges possible, including beating swarms and storyline achievements, they decided to go with "upgrade something" as the hardest badge they have released in a week. Good choice.
Things that ruin a multiplayer game. 1. An energy system. Just get rid of it; we don't like it and there is no point. 2. Paying for better items. Getting better items should be based on a players individual merit, not the size of their wallet. 3. No restart button. I lost my internet for a month and when I came back, there was no way to continue because I had totally forgotten the individual aspects of the game. If developers would just realize these things and DON'T implement them, their games would be MUCH more successful.
It's a shame. You could have made one of the greatest rpg's on this site, but instead you made it an energy game. Now, I am not downing the game by itself, but the simple fact that you implemented what should be a harmless system will make people instantly vote 1, allowing this game to never reach its full potential.
The nuke level is just pure hell. You can fly through all the other levels, but when you get to that one you have to go back and grind for about 10 levels.
Dammit, another multiplayer game. So many of these could be so much better if they took out energy and real cash systems, and added quality functions, but they never do. Sadly, this is just another generic facebook game that will no doubt get badges but won't ever be that popular.
It is not a bad game, but it can't save the data. Every day it is just a fresh start, and that can be extremely frustrating for people with limited schedules.
(Part 2) Also, add some more enemy types that hamper how you play, such as disabling turrets momentarily to slowing down your gun or even freezing your gun for a short time. You can add a whole variety of enemies besides "move and shoot", such as shield enemies for the weaker ones, a type of leech enemy that can sap money off of you, and so many more that will make the game much more than a 3 hour version of the same levels over and over again. I think if you just take the time to add more content, this game (or its sequel) will skyrocket up the charts much more than your past games have.
(Part 1) So many things to say, so little characters. First, you need people to beta test your games. This one has so many bugs it is practically unplayable sometimes. Also, you have a bad case of "too little items that cost too much". I would say, since there is no real reason to buy about 5 of the weapons, that you keep the 8 weapons you have, but add upgrade trees to them, so that the less used weapons feel a bit more powerful, because frankly the minigun is massively OP and can carry a player through the whole game. The same goes for the "turrets"; add upgrade trees so players can customize how they want to play. Also, add some turret upgrades besides health, damage, and income. The turret moves so god awfully slow that the 4th zone is just a pain to play through.
