So if you don't succeed with the chalkboard counting one way, why not try another? It's not that hard. Either they're coordinates, or they're counting numbers. I had more trouble finding everything clickable.
I've played a lot of these projectile/grenade games, and this feels very fresh despite the genre not exactly being new. The puzzles are fun, especially with the added star challenges. It's a nice feeling when the level hinges on bouncing a bullet around the level, and you pull it off with a headshot in the end.
Still relatively easy, especially when stuff snaps into place, but also a fun puzzle that isn't frustrating. There was one level (the key) where the snapping made it impossible to complete the level due to not being able to move the pieces, but otherwise I had no problems at all with the controls.
Good, considering the time constraints. The controls for Lucia are a little spotty regarding jumps, but the orb is surprisingly easy to control as long as you remember to pay attention to walls and stuff.
It kind of ruins the game when there are missions that require you to take upgrades you don't want and only make the game harder to play. Which you can't cancel or inactivate. That was one of the complaints from the first game, and it's not been fixed here. That's just bad.
I have a bit of trouble with loading between levels. Takes half a minute or more, and occasionally hangs. The game is also prone to slowdowns, even on my relatively decent computer. It's kind of fun to play, though, and kind of not much to think and just do.
It's a fun game and all, I think, but it feels like there are so many bugs in it (freezes at various loading points, the events in the beginning don't always show up, skills causing characters to freeze up and try to cast it infinitely, though admittedly mainly Jeanne), and controls in the battlefield is iffy at best, with students doing as they please. This is from being forced to restart the game about five or six times before even doing the third quest.
I think having it timed kind of reduces the fun of it. Basically you first have to figure out what to do, then restart and try until you get the best possible time. Not really what makes puzzle games fun. Sure, I could ignore it, but that'd leave a half-completed game, which is less fun.
I really prefer stages you can't beat it 1:12 like 10/27. It's more fun to have to build up something, but at the same time, if you do that it feels like you're just delaying, which feels suboptimal... Well, that's where personal challenges come in. Not using collectors or blasters seems like it could be fun...
I got stuck on the instructions screen. Overall, it works as a game, but is rather unpolished and jerky, so it's not as fun to play as it could've been.
To complete the Endless Runner Badge the easiest way just get unlimited jumps and keep above the screen, and only go down to pick up weapons and health.
Those cool blocks make stuff a lot easier. With the right timing, you can almost make the blocks fly. No need to worry about minor details like gravity. Considering it's timed, I kinda wish you could use some keyboard shortcut to select the blocks.
LOL, I think its pretty bad myself. should i take it out completely or use a different sound?
