@jep101010: You can see your play time on this game on your file just before loading it. Collecting every treasure and earning every challenge and badge brought me to just over 15 hours. @SoStacieFan: I find it easiest to launch enemies using thrusting weapons or the Shotgun, Blunderbuss, and Hatfield's Pistol. Shoot straight ahead just after the killing hit once to launch (maybe twice if you almost miss). Needless to say this is also the best way to get money. @BelowZerro (SPOILER ALERT): You can get treasure chest #2 on stage 11 by grabbing the Ladder Spear near the left wall of the first screen (climb to The Crusher first and then hop over to the left) and using it to climb the wall just after riding the zipline (before the rope under 2 vanishing platforms).
It's simple, really. If you're repeatedly starting the game without zero-cost cards, and want that to stop happening, throw in more zero-cost cards (or take out others to increase the ratio). They even arrange for that by allowing more than 6 of any pillar or pendulum.
Those platforms on the 10th stage that disappear and reappear at regular intervals reminded me of the old MegaMan games... Ahh, memories. Not to mention that those homing rockets reminded me that I have a limited number of lives! OH JEEZ NOOO!
So there I was, using my Eternity to keep topping my deck so I wouldn't deck out, until WHOA LOOK, a Skeleton! Sweet it turned into a dragon-- wait... NOOOOO.
Man, I really gotta work on my ADH--What's this do?
Maybe it's just me, but I'm noticing that attacking with a flying Druidic Staff to fill my health up and finish the level 4 opponent at the same time, which I have been doing for months now, is no longer giving me a perfect win. If this is supposed to be happening, I can only assume that the definition of "Elemental Master" is now that you have to END your LAST turn with full health, rather than reach it by the time the opponent dies. I still get perfect wins when they run out of cards to draw though.
For everybody whining about the phase shields: Many cards (especially shields) exist only to stop a particular deck type from beating you. Notice how the Emerald Shield stops you from targeting their health and from destroying it, which are two things Fire tends to depend on. Also notice how Purify really only exists as a counter to poison. If Phase Shields are ruining you, find a way around them. That IS what you do in a game when you struggle with something, isn't it? Of course, I guess you COULD always whine and rage quit too... After all, it's not YOUR fault you keep losing; it's everybody else's.
Loved the first one, and the finalizing on this one is even better. All I have left to suggest is that when holding a throwing weapon or a gun, and picking up another of the same, it would be nice if the ammo were combined, given they don't add up to more than the weapon originally has. It doesn't make much sense for McCoy to drop his gun with 4 bullets to pick up one that has five and leave like that.
What the... Not only did they make flooding with cheaper upkeep, but now it leaves you 5 spaces, instead of 7? Are they trying to build it up to be the new meta?
I have to say the amount of grinding required for the red badge is undesirable. Considering that overgrind mode also earns you cash, I really think the end of the game should be the only prerequisite for unlocking it. I was curious to try it, but not enough to grind this much.
Love the new colors for earth and darkness, but now I feel like the 3 deflagrations I upgraded are no longer worth the investment... Although I do like how in every upgrade fire seems to diminish just a little bit.
Personally I think you ought to be able to go back to previous avatars. Using pokemon was cute, but I like both of them at upgrades 2 and 3 best. Also it would be nice to be able to turn off rain and screen shake after buying them. Nice expansion on a great idea over all.
Note that the bladed boomerang vanishes if it goes completely off screen. What I'd like to know though, is exactly how do you catch a bladed boomerang?
R to reload isn't listed in INSTRUCTIONS. I know for people that play a bunch of these, it's obvious, but it should be listed. I haven't completed it yet but are all of the enemies deaf and near-sighted?
in the middle hole. duh! :D
