Darn it! I was really looking forward to playing a game in which I took control of a multinational consumer electronics company based in Japan. So disappointed.
Screw it. I'm not coming back to Kongregate until Jan 1, 2008 for this "Reach wave 25" bullshit. Some people are going to reach wave 25 in the first or second game. Some people are going to WASTE hours of their lives and not make it...BECAUSE THE GAME IS TOTALLY RANDOM! It's like saying "You can have your card when you are dealt a Royal Flush in Poker." I've got better things to do with my time for the next 30 days, including a few good books I've been putting off reading.
Oh, and trying to cross a bridge I get "You must complete the quest in the city first." What quest is that? I didn't get a quest in the city. I got a quest to cross the bridge though, so STFU and let me cross the damn bridge.
Basically, if you are a wizard, all combat involves hitting the most isolated opponent and then waiting for them to respawn so you can hit them again, 6 to 8 times. And then slowly drag your ass back to whoever gave you the lame quest in exchange for a little gold or some trinket. I'm clearly missing the appeal here.
Wow, so exciting, running around in circles for 20 minutes trying to kill the Chillsnap. Sometimes the spells don't fire for no particular reason and you're screwed. Sometimes you accidentally move off the map and you're screwed. And an hour later you're still just crawling around in super slo-mo. There's a lot of potential in this game, but the execution is dearly lacking.
I appreciate the "Oh war is random, so this game is totally random and you can have your entire squad wiped out after playing for an hour" aspect of this game. But at the same time, who really wants to play a game where they have no control over what happens. People play games because they want to control something. They want to put things into some sort of order. Playing this game is like having the developer pull down his pants and take a massive dump on your face.
Same problem this game had in the past...I had all of my guys waiting on the next screen for my medic. And just as he got to the top of the screen a bunch of Germans appeared and I lost. That really shouldn't happen.
God. This game was frustrating enough the last time I played it. Now there's twice as many icons on the screen and the waves seem to come one right after the other.
Hahahah!!! I played for about an hour and then accidentally hit "Reload" on my browser and lost everything. Auto-save would be nice. I might think about playing this game again if they make an auto-save feature.
