Are you kidding me? 1) The music...If I wanted to listen to screeching like that I'd stick my cat in a blender. 2) You get 2 upgrade points no matter how well you do. 3) The whole "2 canons, 2 upgrade paths" is just annoying. Why?? 4) YOU CAN'T GET ENOUGH POINTS TO FULLY UPGRADE BOTH CANONS! Sorry, this game just fails as if it were developed by someone who doesn't understand why people like this sort of game. 2/5
OK, I haven't started playing yet. I just want to point out that if you want people to read a page full of text (like instructions) DON'T set all the text in an odd font in all caps. It just makes it hard to read, and people hate reading background story when they just want instructions anyway.
Major Bug: Playing against Countess Nelova in the challenge...I was playing an Enkor bot and got the screen to choose which additional power to use, and she did something with her sabatuer at the same time (I don't know how we wound up doing something at the same time.) The "Choose additional power" screen is now frozen on top of the game and I can't quit out or do anything else.
Crap...The "Increase Power" needs to be more obviously set up with button look and feel for each color. I've just increased the power on two different colors other than the red color, which was the only one available in the second tutorial.
I could never do the last round of unit upgrades. It says that I can upgrade attack/defense at 960mana, but I am never able to. Same for the Health, Range and Level upgrades. Even when my mana is at 9999 I can't activate those upgrades.
MikeSF, I found that using mostly fighter bases the game becomes almost too easy, as the fighters will automatically try to take over any star in their range. They act virally to take over sections of the map for you.
Replay value is currently screwed because you can't go back and do the campaign over on a different difficulty setting. You see all levels as having been defeated, so it's hard to know which one you should be starting on if you leave and come back. There should at least be a hover description for each button.
It's easier to identify which planets are selected now. Still having trouble where I expect to select a planet I'm clicking on sometimes. I guess it's just a matter of remembering the controls. Just finished a Challenge map and the Victory failed to register.
Am I missing something? I barely have enough money to do anything. Is there something I'm supposed to do to earn money faster (aside from bringing in the ridiculously expensive miners who are only useful for a few minutes before they run out of safe areas to mine and get shot)?
