Remarkably unsatisfying game due to the sheer randomness of the items created. Why vodka and not wine? Why the supernatural creatures? Why just three foods, none of them vegetables, but the components of gunpowder? Just no rhyme or reason behind it, so there's no sense of satisfaction. I gave up after the first 30 "elements" and waited for the hints on most of these. Don't know why I bothered.
Every time I fail a single mission I start over. I don't fully understand the win/failure effect. Also, it never clearly explains what happens to extra money I earn in battle. It doesn't seem to be transfer to me when I win. Too many things that don't make sense. I want to like this game but I get so frustrated with it after about 1 hour of playing, and I've wasted too much time on it already.
Almost too complex to be enjoyable. My biggest annoyance is that there's no way to restart a level. I accidentally misread the weakness in a scouting report and brought the wrong Hero, but there was no way to go back and restart without "Failure" and all of my opportunities changed after that. Just too much to deal with.
Layout of the resource counter should be color coded, resources grouped together and workers grouped together. Then not mirrored on the enemy's side. The way it's layed out now, even after playing for a couple of hours I still have a hard time figuring out what's what.
What's the point of the suit upgrade that makes you dash forward? Does it do damage to the enemies? Does it make you invulnerable while you are dashing? I couldn't tell. The only thing I know is that it makes it hard to play a platformer when hitting forward twice (to adjust your position on a narrow platform inexplicably placed over a bottomless chasm ) makes you dash forward of the platform.
Bug: I just listened to the cocooned person tell me to let the yellow into my soul, and the six yellow floaters were surrounding me. I was able to shoot and kill one, but I otherwise couldn't move. Then, after killing one, the character performed the "picking up my gun after a vision" action and I killed the rest of the floaters. There was an extra shot from my weapon appearing from the top left and coming down into the screen. Then my guy froze in mid-jump. The floater sound keeps looping with the music playing normally. The guy's weapon firing graphic is also frozen in place. I can turn from side to side and when I push space I hear the weapon fire audio, but that's pretty much the end of the game for me.
My health was running low, I killed something and suddenly my health jumped to full. A minute later I killed something else and leveled-up and suddenly my health dropped back down to low again. I'm having a hard time understanding the whole health bar system here.
I just got killed by something invisible after activating the Swamp Generator. I killed the Viper and then was going back off the screen when I started taking damage from something I couldn't see. Occasionally I would go invisible myself. I couldn't hit back at whatever was attacking me and it was blocking my exit. I was also getting attacked by other female mutants, so I wound up dying before I could get away from the invisible attacker. This bug just sucks and I can't believe anyone would release a game with a massive bug like this.
Need: 1) Mouse movement. 2) A way to view your own stats. 3) The ability to have pets defend themselves when they are in "Stay" mode. 4) A way to access your inventory in the town so that you don't have to appear in a hostile environment and then equip armor and weapons you just bought. 5) Ear protection from that opening feedback sound that nearly bursts the eardrums of anyone using headphones. 6) Transparency on objects you can walk behind. 7) The ability to pick up items that are behind your character without needing to move. 8) Adjustment to the Abilities and Special Attacks, because I just don't see any value in them and I haven't used them yet (Level 14). Don't get me wrong, it's a very excellent Flash RPG, which is what makes these annoyances even more annoying.
The pets don't defend themselves when the are set to "Stay"?! Really unbelievable. "OK, pet, you just sit there, and if something attacks you, just die." C'mon guys.
My laptop keyboard arrow keys have two additional keys to either side of the UP arrow. One takes you BACK one page on your Web browser, the other FORWARD. So, guess what happens when I accidentally hit the BACK button instead of the UP button. That's right...I lose all progress because there's no autosave. In fact, explain why the movement is mouse driven, when everything else in the game is? It's very disruptive to have to stop clicking in battle and then go back to the keyboard to move, especially in this 3/4 viewpoint. And if everything were mouse-driven, I wouldn't have accidentally clicked on the back button and lost over an hour of play time. Sorry, but I'm done.
Ummmm....I finished the first quest. Now what? There's no way off the beach. The Map is not showing up in the top right corner, even when I keep clicking the Map On/Off button. Bug? If so, it's a show stopper. I'm just stuck on the beach forever.
What's a "sadfasdf"? It's in the tutorial for using a pet. It looks like the developer didn't know what to call it so just entered some random keystrokes as a placeholder.
I'm really curious how the game developers get the smiley face at the end of the game. Is it a matter of knowing some way to press the keys so that you don't keep shooting straight up and die? I just don't have the patience to finish that.
OK, I figured out the robot boss. Now I'm left trying to figure out how NOT to jump when you just want to fly up a small amount. The controls for FLY vs JUMP are the exact same thing (Up Arrow) so half the time pressing up makes me fly the other half it makes me jump up into an electric barrier.
