Great concept, but seriously needs balancing. I guess maybe there is one way to win this game by choosing the right combinations of troop types and working with individual soldiers to upgrade them, but I'm not interested in a game that requires such precision and finesse. Just balance it so it's more fun to play.
Now I remember why I didn't get any badges on this game. The shop/upgrade process is totally confusing and I got tired of trying to figure out what was going on. I got my badge and I'll never play this again.
Sorry, developer. I'm giving up on your game. I get the feeling that. although there are many options, there is really only one strategy that leads to success. I don't feel like wasting any more of my time trying to figure out just what it is I need to do to make it past level 11 with any character/weapon/entourage/upgrades. I'm really curious how well you do at your own game. Or does knowing what you consider to be the "correct" development path make this game super easy for you?
I can't get my character to throw grenades all of a sudden. They are equipped in slot 2, and I have 4 of them. I've used these same grenades on other levels, but suddenly on 11 he won't throw them.
What good does it do anyone to auto-save before starting a new level? If you haven't made good choices in town, you don't get a chance to go back and rethink your strategy for spending your AP and money. The auto-save NEEDS to be in a separate slot from the player's manual save.
The auto-save killed me. I wish it didn't auto-save, or I wish it auto-saved into a different slot. There's no way I can continue based on the auto-save I'm stuck with.
Look, I know you don't want "bad" words in there...but "bitch" means "female dog. It's not even a four-letter word. I almost lost level 19 because of that censorship.
@Viatrix, the story behind the game is that the "bad" guy in the top-left corner is sending his spiders to steal the secrets about the marvelous machine. You are using words to fire the gun that stops them from stealing the secrets. That's why you lose when all of the little white parcels of paper are carried off the screen to the top left. On the other hand, I still haven't figured out what the words coming up out of the boiler are supposed to represent. I've also tried typing them with no great effect. They seldom match the letters I have available anyway.
The biggest problem I'm having with this game is that it's actually hard to read the word you are typing. Why not just let us see the letters together, not inside the little stones? It's really difficult to read a long word that apparently contains a typo, when you can't see the letters side-by-side.
See, there you go...a bug with the whole "moving controls" thing. I clicked "GO" before the controls had moved completely back into place, and was immediately attacked by another buc. (I have "the package".) Now the game is frozen because the battle controls are not appearing. It was a really bad idea to make the controls move.
I was delivering the "secret weapon" to the Enforcers, but first I sold my cargo and "won the game" before I could earn my badge. Ridiculous! That, plus the obnoxious waiting for the controls to move around every time you get into a battle really detract from the game.
