Now I remember why I passed on this game and was surprised to learn that I'd already gotten the Badge of the Day. HORRIBLE Lag and the fact that the bogies move far faster than the Ultra Gun can(pre-many upgrades), render the Hard badge closer to Impossible.
How are you supposed to win the bloody Full Car Park? It feels like the CPU is blatantly cheating, practically cycling on an invisible track superimposed over the bumpy POS that Sir Bikealot has to negotiate. The best I've done is 63s, and even then I barely squeaked in ahead of the last guy.
You don't need to ONLY have the light machine gun for the boss run medal. You can put say, a nuke, with either a cool down(my preference) or damage multiplier upgrade, and you'll still get the in-game achievement. :)
Forgot to add. Aside from the fact that this game exacerbates ADHD, it would be utterly FANTASTIC, if there were only 1 game left, to STOP ZOOMING IN AND OUT.
I pretty much just abandoned hope on any game that was not: 1) Guide balls through holes in the floor(easy, just left and right), 2) The Clock and the Bouncer(up or down to avoid the bouncing ball), 3) Line shooter. The one where you're supposed to keep all the balls in the air is doomed to failure(eventually 2 balls will be falling at the same altitude/speed on opposite sides), as is the one where you avoid the vertical blocks(it's much laggier compared to the hole in the floor game). The one where you're supposed to hurdle is alright.
I freaking hate the teleporting turtles. Especially because the penguins are all: "Hmm, I know, I'll run across the bloody map for that turtle that keeps phasing in and out of my view, because you know, this one shooting my ass with his lasers is too close. I could use the exercise."
Ok, the boss fights just turn into bullcrap from about oh, the second one(Level 20) onwards. How the hell am I supposed to win in 2 minutes against something that has something like 3 times as many HP as the total number of bullets fired IN THE ENTIRE ROUND? And before you go "Upgrade the Returning Damage, NOOB!", I did. If I hadn't, I wouldn't even scratch it. The calculations for HP vs damage done are way off.
Would be nice if: A) Paving didn't cost a crapton. B) You didn't get waves where the mobs are all clustered. AT WAVE 4. When you can barely afford to put out a half dozen troops. And that's assuming you didn't have to pave a spot for said troops.
I didn't read the comments till after I finished, but I simply didn't bother firing once all that was left were the distance achievements. That cut down signifantly on the lag, which was the largest factor in my number of deaths. :) Dashing isn't really all that grand, and I did my 1km run with just double jumps. After a certain point, you kind of know what the screen will be like when you spot the bottom of it, so you can almost auto-pilot it(just need to make minor mid-air adjustments to avoid the enemies' positions).
WORST BUG EVER: Fall through the floor in the middle of the stage. Also, computer has OMFGWTFBBQ godly sniping skills with any firearm. Pretty much never wastes a single bullet.
Ok, WTF? Low Quality, not in a mousetrap, and STILL cannot turn around in time, or else I dive-stomp into the pit, because the thing had a delayed reaction to my shield attempt. Seriously? :(
I'm with animaru. I quit the quest for this ridiculous Level 4 badge. I put traps, they take too long to reload, I die. I put lairs, they get overrun, destroyed, I die. It's ridiculous. Couple that with the overly restrictive skill tree, and you just get an exercise in aggravation. Could have been a great idea. 3/5.
It's one thing to prevent grinding old levels for bonus skill points, but if you have 4 whole trees with some 10 skills EACH, there really should be more points handed out...
