would have been 5 stars except: 1. later games are pure twitch, bad design, 2. no explanation and no visual feedback on strength etc 3. video walkthrough is full of ads ... = 2 stars
The biggest challenge is understanding the incomprehensible, unexplained, "missions". Would have been 5/5 if you'd bothered to do that properly (like all other games - give a 1-liner explaining WTF you want the player to do)
Badge of the day ... couldnt remember why I gave this 1/5 originally ... played once, discovered the stupid level cap + no-reset combo (which means you lose the game in first 1 minute without knowing it ... Ah yes, I remebmer now!
Unplayable: you made the mouse control absolute. This makes it (literally) impossible to play on pads. Rating 1/5 until you implement a proper mouse input, sorry :(
Crashed on the last page of instructions. After reloading, the incredibly-slow-reading-speed of the actors made it painful to play. Downrated accordingly
The scariest bit about this game is that the author can only afford a low-res 14" monitor in 2012. Game window is less than 6 inches wide on my monitor. Literally can't read the text, it's so small. Because you didn't write your flash properly, it also does NOT resize (although that makes the game much easier, resizing makes the whole level visible and gets rid of the annoying artificial darkness). 1/5
Going to space, and the change in gameplay, was excellent! Pity that the GRIND for later missions is so painful (I got to Mars, but doing final missions was SO BORING I gave up. For a mission that starts in space, why not let the player START in space? So Dull)
don't buy the final oil upgrade ... its bugged, you won't be able to steer afterwards (every time you shoot up, you get "glued" to the top of the screen, and controls are ignored. When you "drift" back down, all your clicks are played back 2-3 seconds later ... it kills you frequently )
I think they were testing the game ... in debug mode ... where it auto plays every battle ... and they forgot to disable it before uploading ? Awesomely dull game
It's a music-rhythm game where every decision (almost) has to be correct. If you mute it, give up. If your flash is out of synch, give up. I loved it. I'd like to see each "rank" giving you a clear bonus for rest of the game (e.g. slightly increasing the view distance?) because at the moment the ranks are just annoying - they give you nothing and get you nowhere. But otherwise great. Getting to Triangle was hard enough. Hard badge? FUUUUUUU.... 5/5
downrated (2/5) because it often places your sole archer in front row, and your sole melee in back row AND WONT ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE IT. It swaps them around RANDOMLY, making you lose a battle you would have won, for no reason. This breaks the strategic part of the game, makes it an exercise in pain and frustration. So sad to see a good game ruined by some lazy design.
I particularly like the way there's a 30 second lag on "assigning one stat point", because it freezes the game while it tells the server "I added one (1) i ONE stat point". Classy
Text is too small to read. Screen doesnt resize when you zoom (bug from all previous versions too!). Music is very choppy (glitches every 0.5-2 seconds, on a quad-core fast desktop). All in all ... 1/5 !
