Unoriginal. Too many bugs. And, worst of all: terrible play-balancing - some stats take ages to level-up, others are trivial. Some stats are useful, others are almost useless (e.g. agility). 1/5
I hate games that artificially force you to "choose a name". This one is hilarious if you put an insult as your name. e.g. "Hey, X you! This is Buzz. Buzz, X you!"
To complete easily: axeman, put 1 point per level in attack, all the rest in speed. Buy boots until maxed (they increase speed). Then buy body armour (smaller speed increase). When you get over 500 speed, start putting more into attack - but always keep your total speed 2x your attack. You should finish the game with around 6,000 in speed, 3,000 in attack. Many monsters die before they get their first strike. The rest, use your rage-builder, and your speed-increas attack (it IGNORES the speed limit, so it carries you way over the top)
great game, but ... the "walkthrough" is a video with a 30 second advert at the start? WTF? next time, please link to a "web page" - they're an amazing invention, with "writ-ing" on them, that give you "information"
Great art, ruined by "invisible object syndrome", and terrible puzzles (why is a cricket under the girl's bed? How are you supposed to guess that, except by being psychic?)
TRIAL 1: critically important: equip Thunder orbs on your missile troops. It never says this in the game :( but they freeze the enemy in place. Without that, the enemy goblins will run forwards and absorb the hits that would have hit the boss - I completed all trials except trial-1, because I wasn't using the thunder orbs. For rest of trial1, you need 2 x small fast uinits (hobbits and goblins, preferably equipped with the chariot of fire to run faster), and all archery units. Centaurions are best, because then you can build arrow towers that slow enemy a little while damaging him
needs a way to turn off the graphic effects - it keeps pausing every 2-3 seconds for half a second because your coding can't keep up with the effects :(
Warning: it adds 1 to the number of turns displayed - i.e. when it says "turn 24" it means "this is turn 25, you have already lost the badge". Really frustrating when getting the hard badge :(.
Thanks for not including any of the annoying "rotation tool" stuff this time around. The final rotation puzzle on previous version was just ... painful.
great game, but ruined by terrible controls and having to watch "gah. Dreaming" a million times. You obviously know the cutscene is annoying and frustrating, or else you wouldn't have added the skip button - but then you deliberately disabled the skip button for first 5 seconds. Why? How did that even seem like a smart idea?
This is like all the worst bits of previous Epic Wars ... all in one game. Unbalanced abilities (heroes are useless)? Check. Tedious slow gameplay (have to click "x3" at start of EVERY level)? Check. Building limit, can't be destroyed? Check. Game breaks if you increase the tiny tiny window size? Check. ... wow.
Keep your finger on Accelerate and Nitrous constantly - the buggy physics means you get NO advantage from taking finger off either (it should increase turn rate, but it doesn't - you have to hit the brake at same time as accelerate). Makes level 8 easy. Nice graphics, shame that the physics is so buggy :(.
Nice idea - but if you're going to make a puzzle game, you MUST make it so that the player can see what they did wrong! This failure ruins your game on the harder levels: as soon as the player gets stuck, the screen goes black, and they have to try and memorize whatever they did. Terrible design. Please fix it.
Forget tactics, to complete the final level, just buy the Gauss Gun. Everything else is a waste of time - it's so unbalance it's not worth trying. Time taken to use cloak etc to win? 5 minutes and boss less than half dead. Time taken using Gauss gun? 30 seconds and boss dead. You'll get shot many times, but it's irrelevant.
