Ah, yes, I see the return of the ridiculously unbalanced and unplayable "AI summons horde of overpowered knights just as it was losing" feature. Wtf? At least it appears to only show up at "Hard", but cheating does not make an AI "better"!
Not bad, but it's weird how the enemies bounce the ball upward and especially weird how the solenoids grab the ball briefly before bouncing it. On the other hand, the flipper physics seems perfect, and that's where it would be most aggravating to be wrong....
The UI is frustrating and there needs to be a way to save so I can come back to it later. Other useful things would include a smidge more debugger capability: pause and step (instead of just "run" and "break") would help a *lot*.
Ok, I think CTRL just doesn't work for me. I've tried pressing it and I've tried holding it and it doesn't do anything; so this game is utterly unplayable because the author didn't bother to make any alternate controls. Blocking me not only from the badge, but also the quest pack. I wish I could give negative points to this game.
There are too many cases where he has only just *exactly* enough vomit in him to do the level---requires waaaay too much precision on knowing just how much vomit to spew in each step of a solution.
I just came back to this because I'd not got the hard badge, and as I started it I wondered why. Now I remember: the editor is terrible. Having just seen how a bridge failed, you can't pick up control points and move them, or even select individual boards and extend them, all you can do is delete them; and even that is clunky, because you have to click a link, then mouse up to the delete button and click that, and then mouse back to the next segment to remove (because there's always at least two. Ugh, ugh, ugh. Too bad, because the concept is a nice one.
THANK you for fixing the broken gameplay of the earlier versions where trashing too many balls blocked you from finishing the game without restarting! It was always a good game other than that, and now I can unreservedly 5/5 it.
There needs to be a way to say "hey guys over here" without committing them to a specific target; once you send them at a particular target, they ignore other targets even when the humans are specifically attacking them, and furthermore there's no way to de-target them without giving them another target, afaict---this is a huge weakness in the game.
I was so baffled why some towers didn't work sometimes until I figured out the ninjas---and especially that once a snow tower has hit a ninja even once, the other towers can then see him! It doesn't work for the nasty master ninja bosses, but fireballs will do for him.
Really great game overall, but 4/5 for *incredibly* frustrating click zones. I kept aiming to click on a thing and then leaving the room instead. Argh.
So close! I *almost* arranged it so Frequent Flyer was the very last achievement I got---but Bourgeoisie was too awful. Definitely way harder than the so-called "extreme" or "hellish" badges.
I must be doing something wrong. I found most of the levels pretty easy, or at least "not hard" at normal level... and then 10, well, I've spent an *absurd* amount of time trying to beat this level.
I'm sort of irritated. I played through a whole round as a mage, maxed my magic attack and both my defenses, and was all set to finish the game in time until I ran into the one enemy that was MORE THAN TWICE AS POWERFUL AS ANYTHING ELSE in the game; having already maxed out everything I had, there was no way to beat him. (Luck let me get him down to 40 or so HP but that's not good enough, of course.)
Am I missing something? I can't tell from the sign what Ctrl is supposed to do, and pressing that key doesn't seem to actually do anything (so I get killed by the second werewolf).
