Nuclear End

Nice idea, but poorly planned out. It gets very tedious after a few minutes. We need to be able to see the stats of our nukes (e.g. the damage and crit chance etc.) Also, add an 'end day' button. I don't want to waste nukes early on - I want to get the day over with so that I can upgrade. Needs 'mute' and 'menu' buttons too. This could be quite fun, but as it is, it's rather dull.

And an option to disable auto-pause would be nice. I like to flit between different windows no matter what I'm doing.

I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much when I first started to play, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Maybe a tad on the easy side, but the game is simple enough to pick up and very enjoyable. Would like some upgrade so that Blind Girl can hit flying creatures (maybe some sort of wave orb). Speed up buttons are needed, and I'd like to see new and interesting level designs, with more platforms, ladders etc. How about some plantable traps? Just a thought. Well done so far.

Love it. Yes, the story was quite predictable, but enjoyable nevertheless. The style is good, and voice acting great. The only complaint one could have is that it's rather short. Would love an epic point and click adventure.

I'd be interested to know how many people have completed this game without the premium content. I do like the game, but it just feels as though it's meant to be impossible without the premium content. Graphics and gameplay are excellent, but it feels unbalanced. As others have said, different upgrade paths would be nice.

Forced upgrades and the inability to replay a mission to grind, ruin what could be a good game. The pop-ups that can't be dismissed are equally annoying. The game feels like one long tutorial.

EDIT: Just started the second level to see you have created more interesting terrain, and added water. Still think it would be nice to be able to summon some hydra or something. Also, I don't think I can face another 30 waves just yet...

As sirylj said, this does have potential, however, it does need quite a bit of work. Here are my thoughts 1) Let people configure their own controls. 2) Give preset view options such as zoomed out and top-down. 3) Need to know the abilities of enemies. 4) Tower upgrades such change physical appearance 5) Different tower upgrade paths 6) A persistent upgrade tree 7) First level is too long. Too many waves. Start with a lower number, such as 10. Could let people configure the difficulty through options to increase enemy health/no. of waves etc. 8) Have a think about how you could make this unique to other TD games. You could have huge expansive levels, and God-like powers such as the game Populus, which change the physical playing area 9) New towers that give more abilities / affect nearby towers 10) Add more interesting terrain. Add lakes, volcanoes etc. Maybe you could add summon abilities so the player can summon creatures 11) Listen to feedback. Good luck.

I love escape games, but this is a bit tough. It needs to tooltips so that people know what they're holding, and to provide hints and descriptions of objects in the room.

Sorry, but I ended up rage quitting. The spinning object with the four holes, and three static balls of flame just seems impossible to get past, the music was really getting on my nerves by that point as well.

Nice idea, but it has a few issues 1) Mute button please 2) Is there only one level? It starts off quite difficult. 3) It can be difficult to spot in which hole the flames are 4) some of the objects move too quickly.

Maybe you could keep tinkering with the trace effect. For example you could have them quickly fade away, or at least be considerably darker than the objects.

Developer response from scobot

Thanks @BowWow200. Yeah I was working on something like that - basically how it fades in when the level loads, I actually like how it looked but (as of this date at least) I wasn't able to get the timing quite right. I'm sure there's some crafty coding that would make it work easy, I just haven't "learned" that yet! lol But I will take another look at it. Thanks for the feedback!

This is quite nicely done so far. I like the idea, and the models look quite good, though the astronaught needs to be animated. Would like to see what else you could do with this, such as adding a rover etc. I know that it's based on Apollo 11, but that doesn't mean that you can't let your imagination run riot. Would be interesting to see some caves to explore, or strange artefacts such as the spire. Maybe read about some hollow / artificial moon theories and see where that leads you! Alternatively this could turn into a launch type game (or you could create a separate spin-off) where you need to get to the moon to build a base to let you launch to mars and so on.

Thank you for your comment! I noted all your ideas and maybe one day I'll make it :D

Well it's now a little better. I can see how having complete freedom to look around could make the game too easy, but it was frustrating not knowing what the limits are. Maybe some sort of scale to show how many degrees you can turn in the X and Y axis? Make it so it shows the position that you're currently looking relative to your position. The mouse cursor has stopped leaving the screen, which is good, but still finding the controls a little cumbersome. I've found that my view rotates clockwise or anti-clockwise when in fact I'm trying to pan left or right. Maybe try having it as first person view, with the option to swap to third person if you need to check your surroundings, or when you're actually jumping. You could, with some more work, have an interesting game.

Developer response from WarpedAxiom

Well, you can rotate 360° around the Y-axis, and the vertical limits are straight up and straight down (90°), meaning you SHOULD be able to get a full 360° panoramic view. What you can't do is turn the view upside down, which would happen if you continued up or down further than the current limits. There might, of course, be bugs pertaining to differences in OSs and browsers, but I doubt it. Regardless of where Froggaroo is, the crosshairs at the centre of the screen shows where you're intended to end up. Froggaroo is just there as eye candy, and have no actual effect on the jump. In that sense, all the game's aiming mechanics (all one of them) is a first person system. Imagine you're standing there, trying to line up to kick Froggaroo. Then forget I said that, because that's not too child friendly.

The movement traces completely ruin it. It's so difficult to see what going on.

Developer response from scobot

Thanks for trying it! I've obviously spent waaaay to long playing it (while developing it) so find the tracer effect to be part of the challenge, having to focus on the player, but I can see how some people can get lost. (It looks really stupid without the effect, btw, lol) But thanks again for checking it out. All feedback is good feedback.

I have to agree, the controls are really bad. The mouse cursor can leave the game area when it should be fixed instead, and I think that you should be able to turn and look freely in all directions, but instead it's frustrating that you want to turn but you can't.

Developer response from WarpedAxiom

The mouse cursor shouldn't even be visible. I'll look into it. [Edit] How about now? The increase of camera freedom is potentially game breaking, but if it makes the game more enjoyable, I guess I'm for it. Mouse is also hidden and locked. There are so many tiny things that goes into making a game, even one this small, and I'm a scatterbrain, so your honest feedback is appreciated. Hope these changes make the game more entertaining for all.
