Wait, didn't we just prove Hobbes' original assertion that there is no source of morality because morality is an artificial construct and thus doesn't actually exist as a universal? And I don't think we undermined Kant's argument as much as misunderstood it: it's not the actual consequences that are analyzed, it's the expected consequences. Worst, we didn't come close to debunking Act Utilitarianism; we resorted to giant monsters because there *are* no decent real-world contradiction scenarios. Ari's right to be a J.S. Mill fangirl. And even if I'm wrong on those points, the fact that these things are still running through my head after I've finished the game forces me to conclude that this game is intensely interesting and hella fun. Well done. 5/5.
More ambiguity and weirdness: (1) Recoil. Is it good or bad? If bad, does if affect the caster or the target? (2) Healing being typed. My creature resists being healed? Adds irritating complexity to team-building. (3) The gem combination system, as mentioned by many. (4) Unnecessarily labyrinthine floors. The game is linear, make the map linear. (5) Useless map. Show me the areas I've beaten (any stars) and cleared (three stars), not just a floor plan minus all the doors and ignoring rooms I teleported out of. (6) What good is the element system if we have to fight, go look up several creatures' types, then go back and fight again? Too much work; put it all in a rollover, both enemy info and my own creatures' info.
The Healing trait is very vague. What does it actually do? (Regeneration? Increased efficacy of that creature's healing skills, if it has any? Increased efficacy of any creature's healing skills directed at that creature?)
DISRUPTORBEAM says: "I'm on a laptop right now and my screen is well within the site's limits. Can you adjust your resolution to make things look better for yourself?"
Yes, maybe, but then it would mess up everything else I do. Your game is not _that_ important. More significantly: my screen resolution is set to the current industry standard; why isn't *that* what you're developing for, instead of your own, personal machine? Are you Linus Torvalds?
A subtly different ring color around the picture? That's how you show us which building upgrades will take gold? Which was impossible to figure out until I had already wasted time upgrading to get to them in a couple of buildings, to have data to compare. How about showing us the costs *before* we go through the work to satisfy the prerequisites?
Why is everyone complaining about going broke? It *tells* you the employees cost money, and the tips remind you to leave some money aside for the day's expenses. If you missed it, just restart.
Cute game, but downrating for bait-and-switch badge. Not going to hunt through the whole game again trying to figure out which levels can be done under par.
My men are surrendering on the Last Stand even when we're losing nobody, just decking their tanks and troops. Put some damn Prozac in the rations and get back to work!
