Good stuff for 3 days work Since there's no way to go backwards, the player should lose immediately when a good door passes by instead of having to wait for it to scroll offscreen. Yeah, it's only a few seconds wait, but, in a game like this where you're probably going to die a lot, it adds up. Also, mouse clicks only registered sometimes; couldn't really play till I switched to the keyboard. And gl on the gitd, though i'm probably too late for that
Never really tested the mouse, heh, but I’m glad you’ve got it covered. I congratulate you on the high score by the way, and I hope you enjoyed to some extent. Thanks for the comment
As someone who has played all of these every since the first one got badged, it's great to see a return to form of this quality.. Well done! As a side note, don't EVER use the word 'noob' in one of these again. That killed the whole flow for me. Still great game though
Loved the game, as always. SPOILER However, I'm curious, why does the 1 of 9 resurrect a robot that was never alive, but doesn't work on those dead bodies on your home planet? I-I wanted to save those people too, y'know...
Who's to question the magic of cats? :) But it certainly has something to do with the spell the gnomess cast on the droid to make it "understand life" better. The two kinds of mysterious majicks (of cats and of gnomes) put together was enough to do the impossible. Plus of course the "feelings" the droid was developing for the human boy coming from the novelty of this "friendship" thing (having rescued him as well as having been rescued by him).
Gotta admit, compared to those those first two champions and the main part of stage 3, the last boss was ridiculously easy. And @sgibson: Standing on the bubble generators seems to slow them down. Swimming hovering a above them a bit worked for me.
Game was pretty good, if a bit easy - except for the ice level. The invisible exits are bad enough in those levels, but on 4-5, the blocks are invisible too.
The double-click mechanic is REAL sometimey. Would it be possible, say, have a piece highlight when clicked and then rotate the highlighted piece w/ the keyboard?
Finally beat the game after ~6 hours, wondering the whole time why this wasn't a hard badge instead of med. Then, I take a look at the comments and realize you can reassign skill points AND click to target enemies...
I would say this is a good game for a LD jam, but, it's a good game period (even though Topdee's part moves really slowly). Well done on the concept and the execution. Eagerly awaiting the sequel: T and T 2 - Toodee and Topdee meet Zombee (survival horror). Because, why not?
Aside from breaking the game by getting a mole at the exact moment that time runs out - pretty good game, although it could stand to be longer and more upgradier
