Not bad but could really use some polish before I'd consider it good. Like JoeKherr said; ANYTHING but the mouse to reload, especially on those levels that start you off falling towards spikes. Also, those spikes on edges sometimes acted as though they stuck out to the left or right of the side of the block the spike was on.
Two things I'd like to suggest: 1. If you'd show what scores are needed for 2 and 3 stars when you start a level and 2. R key for restart (I know there's a restart button already, but, since the game is almost exclusively played with the keyboard...)
Yes I will definitely add the R to restart, need to think about how putting the needed score will fit with the UI though. Thanks for playing and the input!
After you've bought all 12 upgrades, power up points become useless, which means xp becomes useless, which means combat becomes useless, so you're running around trying to figure out how to avoid combat at that point (since enemies just drain resources). Naturally, this is right around the part of the game where enemies begin appearing in dense packs blocking passageways. Literally. I am currently staring at a 10 by 3 block of enemies blocking something, yet I'm trying to avoid combat...
Good game. Normally, I probably wouldn't have tried for the 100% thing. But after that 'No dice? What a drag!" line? Oh I GOTTA see what else I missed now.
In their efforts to get a dangerous, car jumping maniac off our fair city streets, the police decide to deploy their most annoyingly skilled helicopter pilots after him. Because, obviously, nothing keeps traffic moving like choppers dropping military grade munitions in the middle of the road, right?
Pretty straightforward memory game. I'd like to suggest adding a continue/proceed/advance/whatever you want to call it button before each stage. As is, the new pattern is shown right after the last pattern is finished. If you've got to leave your comp for ANY reason (kids, phone, bathroom, etc), you'd better memorize the pattern before you leave or else you're sol.
I'm curious; has this game gotten nerfed since it first got badges? Played it when it first got badges, got the first two no problem. But I COULD NOT pass lvl 8 on survival, even with greg's loadout, so ragequit. I pop in today just to kill some time and, with the same loadout, got to lvl 17. Not that I'm complaining, mind you =]
Good game, however there are a few things I'd like to point out/request. 1. Allow us to set our own controls. using the arrow keys means we have to control the shooting/atom bomb with the same hand; a REALLY uncomfortable position to hold for a deep run into the game. 2. Autofire, please. Yes, I know holding down ctrl technically autofires, but the rate of fire doing that is so low; if you sped that up, that'd be fine too. But there's really no reason to ever stop firing (is there?) 3. I'd really like an option for mouse control. The arrow keys work, but some people (me) prefer using the mouse for this type of game. Please don't take the criticism the wrong way, I do like what you have so far. But I think there's room for improvement as well.
Love the idea behind the game. I do have one request though - an option to toggle the background color between white and black would be REAL nice for those of us w/ bad eyes. Those yellow beams on that white background...ouch.
