So far this week I have helped Santa kill shadow creatures for money and now I have strapped a rocket to his back and repeatedly missed the moon, resulting in a very painful faceplant. Some times I wonder about Kong devs and their Christmas spirit...
When I first saw this I did not think I was going to like it. At first glance it seemed like a watered down version of Creeper World. I mean really, how much strategy can you have with the limited screen space? How do underground creepers turn into a threat against humanity?
I was so wrong. This game is very deep and entertaining. While it does not have the same deep level of strategy and network planning it replaces it with a new level of interconnection and planning that is just as addictive as the first series of games. I still prefer the first games over this but this is a great series and deserves 5 stars.
The....The green one....he said he would help us escape.....if we did exactly what he said. The streams ran red with the blood of the red that night....
It seems to be a quirk in the simulation. People could care less how many elevator they take, only how long they have to wait for it. Playing around it seems like the ideal setup involves 2 floor lifts staggered all over the place. As the hotel gets larger you double up on them to get past the 10 person limit. Distance to the elevator also does not seem to matter, just how long it takes for them to get on.
I have a better solution for peoples elevator problems. Build 1, put all the good stuff on the top floor, and then destroy the elevator when they get up there and watch them suffer. That will teach them. Extra points if you don't have any service people to clean and fix.
Step 1 - Make a 5 star hotel and save up your money. Step 2 - Remove all rooms and replace with 1 Elevator, 1 Staff Elevator, 1 Reception area. Step 3 - Fill the remaining area with Standard Rooms. Step 4 - Watch them suffer in Slum Lord mode!!
I have an army of maids who cannot keep my room clean, on any given floor I have 5 elevators and it is not enough, my gym is on fire constantly and for some reason I hired an engineer to fix it, and my restaurant is manned by one waiter. Why did I open a hotel again??
Steering is off and the skidding physics feel really odd. But the game does pay very good and once you get use to the controls it is quite fun. Had loading issues, needed to refresh 5 times before it started up.
So how do you play the game of love? Do you charge right in and be with as many as possible or are you the type that tries to stay away and hope you don't get hurt?
Wait wait WAIT..so any game with an evil computer is just a portal remake?? How about movies? Was 2001 just a bad Portal clone made 20 years too soon???
I am a bit torn with this game. It seems like if you don't spend the early levels grinding badges the later levels become nearly unplayable. I am at a point now where I just don't have the upgrade points to survive. But on the other hand it is a very fun game until that point and is really grabbing my interest.
You cant actually "beat" survival mode. You can win the mission while in that mode but that is not beating it. The difficulty slowly increases once you enter the mode and will, at some point, cause your ammo requirements to exceed 32 packets per second. This is the max limit on the city output and once you hit here it is just a matter of time until your weapons are starved for energy and the creepers win.
