To add to some of the great advice so far: Remember that energy is life in this game. I like to move the city to the highest safe area and start with 4 collectors. Once I get the basic setup I then throw up 2-3 mortars at key locations where they can hit deep pockets of creepers. This will give you some extra time to fill in a few reactors and start to spread your collector network. As noted above keep an eye on if there are incoming spores and how many to expect and build defense as needed. Once you get a good network with positive energy look into blasters, speed, and storage. Storage is helpful to allow you burst building without pulling too much from the power grid.
The game play is fun but the repeating loud sound in the background is very annoying. We really need an option to turn off that noise without turning off all the sound.
I am hitting an issue where on my final shot the structure begins to fall, yet the trigger that says I failed kicks in so I get to watch them all die while the screen fades to black.
The physics are just odd in that the center of balance shifts depending on if you rotate forward or backwards, centering on the wheel at that end. It just does not feel right while driving.
I really want to like this game but the farther I get the more issues come up that take away from the enjoyment. The entire production tree needs to be looked at and balanced. As it sits now the requirements for some tools exceed any potential earnings they provide. The next huge issue is building unlocking. Critical buildings for the last several caves on the first map do not unlock without a sequence that is near impossible to perform. Just trying to get a Blacksmith is making my ears bleed. I need copper, but to get copper I need to make tools to bread open heavy block...the tools take more copper than I ever get. Not good balance at all. I am not going to lower my rating, I think it is a great game. However I would never think of wasting 1 cent on it as it sits now and, as I creep to level 20, I have no desire to play beyond hoping for some improvement.
I would love an option to set a building to auto-produce if the requirements are available. That way I don't have to stop back every hour and reset my quarry to make more stone.
OMG!! This is SUCH a rip off of another game. We called it "Throw the stray dogs at the neighbors houses". How could they steal this idea without giving credit?!?!?!
So I decided to try and play the game with no powers selected. Funny thing, I am losing but every time I click it costs me energy even though I am doing nothing.
haha thanks :D
