You can tell there was a ton of effort put into this game. It's nicely polished and well done, but not my cup of tea. Still I give it a 4/5 for quality.
Fun game, annoying default controls, and really bad writing. Did a 12-yo write the lines? Bad grammar, spelling issues, and lame script. Otherwise, nice retro-style and interesting music. Bad sounds.
Fun game, but annoyingly BAD heavy metal (not in the least bit quality heavy metal). Weapons are awesome, girl is lame, mob spawn is weak, and AI is horrid though. Like I want to kill the same creature 20 times in a row that drops from the same spot? *yawn* Also, one boss is super easy, then the next takes 2 lives, then the next super easy, etc. No balance here at all.
Very original game. Interesting and unusual. Things are easy until you get 3 or more guys to protect. Them it becomes a chore because you have to destroy all the bad objects that fall unless you get lucky to get a chomp power up. For bosses, just avoid them when you have one or two to protect. With three or more you have to kill the bosses.
Utterly pointless game. Boredom would be the least painful part of playing this game. Yes, it has been out a long time, and yes it still reeks of lameness.
Fun, interesting game, even if simple. The hard levels were enjoyable. The nightmare levels are just dexterity/endurance runs... didn't make me think, just made me annoyed.
Horrible balance. Not fun at all. This is a game with potential but utterly fails on many accounts. First, it's far too easy in the beginning, then far too hard further along. I have to spend all my money just to heal 20% or so of health since every level the health potions skyrocket in price? BS. And then eventually there's so many fireballs on the screen with every mob except one type that shoots them and shoots multiple in different patterns. Yeah, right, if I wanted to play keep-away, I'd go play a side or top-down scrolling shooter. So I can never get the last bow or so because health potions skyrocket in price while loot dropped doesn't match? And the UI isn't very smooth or intuitive. Fail 1/5.
Sort of fun, but utterly repetitive. All battle, no adventure or exploration or anything. Great artwork, but ripped-off music and sound effects. Also, it's just one long endurance battle. Buy all ethers and you'll be fine. Also, the final battle killed me from a FREAKIN CHEAP AZZ MOVE with that spirit bomb THREE TURNS IN A ROW! BS. Make it challenging, but don't make it stupidly impossible. How am I supposed to heal myself if I have to defend during consecutive spirit bombs? I even did the rez one, defend another, etc., and no help. Lameness.
6000 feet is extremely difficult if not near-impossible, while every other accomplishment is ridiculously easy. Where's the balance? 5,800-5,900+ each time, using rockets all at once, in bursts, and different rise and fall tactics, whatever, still 5,800-5,900+ each time. A fun game, but the last accomplishment is silly.
Fun game, for sure, but a little repetitive and tries to mix non-original ideas of overhead kill-all shooter with defense games. Some interesting concepts, but cruddy sounds and poor graphics. Still fun though, worthy of replaying. It seems the game is buggy as it won't let you go back to the main menu or try again when you win.
Guinewere said, "too easy". Yeah, right, braggart. BS on that comment. It was fun and challenging. Some made me think for quite some time, and I lost patience at molecule 23. I'll be back to complete it though. Some molecules were easier than earlier molecules, just takes a different way of thinking for each one.
Excellent and something new! Nice twists, not overly complicated, but not blatantly obvious. Nice job, I could complete it without a walkthrough, but I had to think once in a while. 5/5
Cute game, hand-drawn artwork, and certainly original. Short and easy, yes, but it's not meant to be difficult. Quite a nice piece of work here. A nice independent artist feel to it that lets us take time to appreciate the simplicity of it all. G-rated fun for kids even.
I don't know why this continues to get good ratings? Sure the intro is nice (like a street-fighter style character selection), but the gameplay is horrid!
