The Fire Orb appears in the shop only after you acquire your first piece of Firewood. As for the skills that require Lv 7 abilities, equipping the textbooks should solve that issue, and there are rare items, such as Cutlass and Trident, that also raise the Swordsman and Spearman abilities.
The ability to start a tower run at a higher floor. Say, the option to choose to start at 1st, 21st, 41st, or 61st (once you have gotten that high). Should be a long enough gap to feel like a decent run, without feeling penalized for leaving. One of the big reasons I rushed for the end, was that about floor 50 or so, I realized that if I ran out of hp/mp and left, I'd have to restart at floor 1, and would probably never play it again.
Thank you, I have added a teleport feature now.
You will need to reach either floor 20, 40, 60 and that will unlock a building upgrade in carpentry.
Buying that upgrade will allow you to purchase a teleport item that is consumed on use.
Congratulations for reaching the top floor. I hope the +200 bug didn't spoil it for you.
If you would like to try again from scratch, you can go to settings and reset the data there.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Up at floor 30 now. Have to say that shiny equipment makes almost all monster stats irrelevant. The only stats that matter are starter mana pool and mana cost to attack, as mana cost doesn't change, and mana pool only goes up with found items.
Admittedly, I'm only on Lv5 or so, but the difference between Rusty and Shiny equipment is pretty extreme (+2~3 to +200)! Also, since all equipment apparently becomes +200 when shiny, there's little incentive to pick up more once you have a shiny shield and shiny weapon, unless maybe you like the icon on the next one more.
As for Runecrafters, rather than getting all 5, I *really* recommend getting just one. Due to the income hit. Even with getting just the 1, I've gone into the negatives on several career paths, so I usually end up spending my favorite pasttime on some gold making activity, like Hold Seance, until base income goes positive again.
The upgrades for up to 500 Essence of Winter will net you +3 max Water Mastery, and the upgrades from Fazbit's Knowledge are all for skills that aren't event exclusives.
Maxing out Fazbit's Knowledge sure takes *dedication*, since even in the best case scenario, you'd need 200 completions, while the worst case scenario would be up to 500 completions. : /
Compile Tome action should only require Crafting 7 and a max of 9 Lore (looks like you don't need it trained to 9 yet, but have a Lore max of at least 9?). If you have that and it isn't appearing, then save your game, refresh the page, and reload. I have sometimes had things that should've unlocked (but didn't) properly appear by doing this.
I guess it's not a good thing when I can look at a certain pattern of numbers and say "Oh! That's going to be a bird, and so it'll go like *this*." and be correct pretty much every time.
Build 1258: My natural Stamina regen (should be .741/s) seems to be cancelled out. Using Rest by itself doesn't change that. Piling on another 1 or 2 rest actions, (e.g. Commune and Chant) *does* restore Stamina. (I have 4 actions, so I can do this.) Needing 2+ rest actions to recover ANY Stamina is absurd. Even with that, the recovery rate is pathetic.
@cpaylor2: Ice Proficiency and Ice Mastery unlock by casting the Ice Shard spell a whole lot. For Ice Mastery, you need to have cast Ice Shard 1000 times.
@FridgeBoi: Resources such as Scrolls, Codices, Tomes, Starcharts, and Runestones (all types) provide Max Research. Codices especially tend to be the primary source of Max Research. Any thing you buy that includes those in the cost will, thus, also lower your Max Research (until you replenish them, of course).
@jumpingspider: Get Save should give you the chance to open/save a [your wizard's name].json file. It is your save file, so save it somewhere. When you come back to the game, you hit Drop Save, and tell it to load the above .json file. Once you get a Wizard Hall, you can use Hall Save and then tell Drop Save to load your [hall name].json instead.
Had a bit of a bad thought: if everything Winter-related disappears at the end of the event, like it did with Halloween, will the Hall Prestige I've been getting from the Snow Double *also* go away, leaving me with a large minus (after I use it)?
@Aldraia: those are "Events", which show up once (ever) in the log on the right, with a little flavor text and a few benefits (which are typically not stated). In the winter event, they also unlock further locales/dungeons. If you're doing things in the Tower of Nixifer, you've long since gotten the Legend Tells event from the Winter Village.
