There doesn't actually seem to be anything balancing the game. Since computer players can instantly control units, where we are exceptionally limited by a mouse-drag concept, I don't actually see anything that particularly benefits the human player.
Even at level ten I barely shoot fast enough to hit everything... This game is just very poorly designed, it has great potential but nothing is tight. All the mechanics are just loose; the upgrades barely do anything, the jumping feels rough, and the shooting is rougher. The art, however, is top notch.
I find I have the most trouble with vertical jumps, where my character just refuses to jump high. It feels very stunted for the vertically high jumps. Everything else is fluid though.
It it just me, or is nearly impossible to hit anything? There's dozens of enemies on screen and they move ridiculously faster than any of my bullets. I realize it's supposed to be fast paced, but shouldn't my bullets at least keep up to some degree?
I'm very rarely a fan of puzzle games, either being too challenging or just piss boring. However, this one was dotted with good humour, simple levels that grow to be reasonably challenging, and overall a good experience. The music fits well and sets a great tone.
Seriously? It's the game guide that keeps killing me on the first slide. If it didn't keep popping up and screwing up my slide, I wouldn't die. Test the first level. I don't see why game developers never test their games.
Syllabear, many fantasy facebook games have a detailed storyline and detailed and varied combat as well. Not so much the same level of additional bits though. Or hopefully, that was sarcasm.
So apparently I'm spending these tactical points, but it doesn't actually appear ANYWHERE. How is that useful at all? It just makes this game so confusing, considering the lists are ridiculously huge. You need to be able to micromanage this game to a tee, but there is not the capability to do that. For that reason, 2/5.
The hit marking is really bad at times. Overall an excellent game except that. It almost feels pointless to use inaccurate guns like a shotgun when the hit marking is just awful in front of your body.
I don't know quite what I'm doing wrong, but so far it's absolutely terrible. There's way more zombies than I'm equipped to deal with. The pistol has 6 bullets to contend with what, 20 zombies? It's just not even viable.
I must say, I'm highly disappointed. I ended up playing Burrito Bison Revenge first, and thought, well why not play the first, it has tons of badges. But this one is just awful in comparison. It stutters all the time, it's very touchy when hitting gummies, most of the time I pass through some that I know I'm right above, and the police hit boxes are ridiculous considering my rocket dive is such a small range. I actually hate this game, although I do give you props -- the sequel was highly enjoyable and addicting, and few game developers actually improve and learn from their first design.
